Question Time: Floyd Shivambu, 14 June 2017

25:48
Last week leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters Julius Malema held a media briefing where he addressed a number of issues. Top on the agenda was recently leaked emails linked to the Guptas. Amongst others, Malema says the emails scandal was proof that those who run government today have betrayed the country. True to promise, the EFF CIC officially opened a case against President Jacob Zuma and Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba on Friday. This apparently relates to their roles in a Transnet tender, with the rail company said to have inflated locomotive prices by R11-million. Meanwhile, the relationship between the EFF and the Democratic Alliance is in the spotlight. This after Malema warned the DA about Helen Zille's controversial tweet about colonialism last week. Zille has since apologised for her tweet, stripped of all her decision-making powers, but the party let her retain her position as its Western Cape leader.
