The HTC One A9 packs Marshmallow and an SD card slot - this is awesome. Why? Because Marshmallow (Android 6.0) and the HTC One A9 can do something very clever with an SD card - treat it as internal memory. If you've had memory issues with Android before, this could be a potential remedy for you. In this video we run through the process of formatting a card to internal memory, highlight some pitfalls of the process and run through how much memory is usable from the get-go on the One A9.

We get our hands on the new Samsung Gear S3 classic and Gear S3 frontier at IFA 2016, two new smartwatches that share a name and most of the same specs. The main difference comes in the form of design - the Gear S3 frontier is a little bit more rugged, but that isn't it - it also has LTE supporting cool things like Spotify streaming and SOS send-outs. Both have GPSs, run Tizen and feature 1.3-inch AMOLED displays. With no word on pricing or availability just yet, we'll have to watch this space but if you have any questions about the Gear S3 classic or frontier, shoot them through in the comments section below and don't forget to subscribe for all our IFA 2016 coverage.

Whether you're a diehard BlackBerry fan or not, you should watch our BlackBerry Passport hands-on video preview, if only to see physical proof that BlackBerry can indeed bring a cutting edge smartphone to market. Under new leadership, the company's latest flagship may look like a quirky, QWERTY beefcake, but underneath that bold exterior is a specced up powerhouse. How specced up? Think: Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, a 3450mAh battery and a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation. Pair all that with a keyboard that doubles up as a trackpad and we're suddenly paying attention to BlackBerry all over again.

We compare the Lenovo P2 and Moto Z Play, two phones that have the same parent (company), so could well be brothers - at least that's what the spec-sheet suggests. Despite the P2 costing over £150 less than the Z Play, it still crams in the same FHD AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 625 processor and fingerprint scanner, not to mention some fast charging too. As for the battery, it's way bigger. Despite all this, I'd still pick up the Moto Z Play if given the choice. Why? Check out my comparison video to find out. Livescribe 3 review for Android and iOS. Livescribe smartpens have been around for a while. Originally, they were standalone devices with PC support, then they got smarter. Now, we have full mobile and tablet syncing in the Smartpen 3. Pairing over Bluetooth LE, the pen shares handwritten notes across up to four devices. These notes can be viewed through the app and shared out, either as PDFs or JPEG snippets. On top of that, you can even record audio and writing simultaneously using your Android or iOS device microphone. Ultimately, what this means is that Livescribe has made a very smart gadget on paper - but is it the best smartpen around and is it worth the £120+ asking price? We get our hands on the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium at IFA 2015. You might be asking yourself, isn't the flagship Xperia Z5 enough? Well, yes, it is in all respects but one - the Z5 doesn't have a 4K screen. Crazy right? Well, not according to Sony. With a pixel density of 808 pixels-per-inch, the Z5 just became the sharpest tool in the shed with double the sharpness of the iPhone 6 Plus despite the same screen size. It isn't just about the pixels though, under the hood is a Snapdragon 810, 3GB RAM and a new improved camera sensor. Housing all those specs is a waterproof body available in a range of high-gloss colours, all sporting a power button that doubles up as a fingerprint scanner on the side.

Our Microsoft Lumia 640 review is here, almost a full month since it landed in our offices so we’ve had plenty of time to put together a very thorough, very in-depth top to toe review of this brilliant value smartphone. Loaded up with a 720p screen measuring 5-inches, a fun, if slightly block design and quad-core internals, for £99 + £10 top-up here in the UK, it’s a very well specced smartphone. Microsoft is also bundling in a year of Office 365 for up to three devices, a value add that would usually cost £60. As if the £99 price tag wasn’t compelling enough, but is the camera any good? Can it handle games better than any other phone in its class? Is this a phone we can wholeheartedly recommend you buy if you’re in the market for a sub-£100 device? Watch our full review to find out.

Btekt's Microsoft Lumia 650 review, a Windows 10 smartphone with a $199 price-tag despite its premium finish. Pairing an AMOLED display with a metal frame, the Lumia 650 looks a treat, but it combines its elegant aesthetic with 16GB internal memory, a brilliant 8-megapixel camera and smooth performance across the UI. Not quite perfect, Windows 10 is still plagued by a lack of up-to-date apps and the phone is hardly a gaming powerhouse, but for $199, should that really put you off? The HTC U11+ has a 6-inch 18:9 screen, just like the Google Pixel 2 and LG V30. It also packs 128GB storage, sort of like the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Pair that with micro SD card expansion - like the Galaxy Note 8 and it's looking excellent so far, right? Right. The best thing is that the U11+ undercuts them all, other than the Mate 10 Pro, costing £699. That gives you the most storage for buck offering in the Snapdragon 835 market - but what do you think? The Sony Xperia XZ's 23-megapixel camera can shoot in manual mode. Real manual mode in photography. Yes, that means shutter speed control and manual focus. YESYESYESYESYESYESYES! Okay, many of you may well think we're overstating our joy at this fact - but you would be wrong. Our joy is real; it's real and it's here. For generations Sony's incredible sensors have been limited by the constraints of automatic mode and automatic 'manual' mode. Not anymore, with the Xperia XZ and X Compact introducing the ability to shoot full manual. There's no raw support just yet - so our wishlist isn't completely satisfied, but baby steps people - for now, let's bask in our blurred out manual focus glory and say - thank you Sony.
