What makes the Galaxy S7 Waterproof? - Ultimate Test

03:27
How is the Samsung Galaxy S7 Water Resistant? What keeps the internal components dry? In this video, I show how each component of the Galaxy S7 can stay dry when submerged under water. The charging port, the headphone jack, the power button, all possible entries of water into this phone are protected. Smart Phone tool kit: http://amzn.to/1Y0U7iR Even thought the phone is 'water resistant' it would not be wise to always trust that it will stay that way. Even a small drop of your device, or a bend in the frame will dislodge a component enough to ruin the iP68 rating. A dry phone is better than a broken phone any day. Better safe than sorry! Here is a cool explanation of the iP 68 rating means, that Samsung achieved with this phone.: http://bit.ly/1p9CMrL The camera I used to film this video: http://amzn.to/1IjlaCD The Lens I used for this video: http://amzn.to/1QOXDw2 And this Metabones adapter: http://amzn.to/1R7Ltic *Follow me for updates!* Instagram: http://instagram.com/zacksjerryrig FaceBook: http://on.fb.me/1U4bQqv Twitter: https://twitter.com/ZacksJerryRig GooglePlus: https://bit.ly/1YyKice I am not affiliated with Samsung, or Apple, or anything. How Does the S Pen Work? - Galaxy Note 7

Replacement S-Pens: http://amzn.to/2bXeO1g This video shows whats inside the Galaxy Note 7 S pen. Obviously Samsung isnt going to tell us exactly how the pen functions, but when we open it up and take a look at each of the components, we get a general idea of what the S-pen is capable of. This video also shows how to replace the little stylus tips that come with the S-Pen. If they wear down, or get lost somehow, it is a very easy replacement. HTC 10 Bend Test - Scratch Test - Burn Test - Durability video

04:11
Buying a smartphone is a big decision! Durability is one of the factors is taken into consideration. The New HTC 10 is just released. And its time to be tested. Extreme tests like scratching, bending, and even burning the display are important to get an idea for how well the phone will stand up to the test of time. Most phones are 'supposed' to last about 2 years... A lot can happen in 2 years. People will sit on their phone, step on their phone, accidentally scratch their phone. My durability tests will give you an idea for how well the HTC 10 will stand up to regular use. I always recommend getting a case and a screen protector... but its still interesting to see how the naked phone will handle life. How durable is the HTC 10? After scratching the screen, and attempting to bend the phone... you'll have a good idea for how much the phone will be able to handle. Amazon has some pretty awesome cases for the HTC 10: http://amzn.to/21FLTOR Awesome Smart Phone Tool Kit: http://amzn.to/1XdJPuA Green Pry tool: http://amzn.to/1Tu57pI Phone opening metal tool: http://amzn.to/1WdOFv0 The camera I used to film this video: http://amzn.to/1IjlaCD The Lens I used for this video: http://amzn.to/1QOXDw2 And this Metabones adapter: http://amzn.to/1R7Ltic *Follow me for updates!* Instagram: http://instagram.com/zacksjerryrig Facebook: http://on.fb.me/1U4bQqv Twitter: https://twitter.com/ZacksJerryRig GooglePlus: https://bit.ly/1YyKice JerryRigEverything assumes no liability for property damage or injury incurred as a result of any of the information contained in this video. Its always easier to repair something after you know what to expect, and you've seen it before. Remember you attempt ALL repairs at your own risk. The iPhone 7 is a tricky phone to work on. It opens up from the side, instead of the top, and the ribbons are SUPER fragile. The Home button is also fragile, as many people attempting this repair have not been successful in swapping the home button to a new device. I will keep you updated on what causes that here in this video description. The TRUTH behind the iPhone 7 Headphone Jack Removal!

Apple has Killed Jack. But why? What did Jack ever do to Apple? Why kill a useful member of your team? No matter how useful your team mate is... if he doesn't make money for the business... you have to let him go. And that's what happened to Jack. He worked so hard! He did his job PERFECTLY... but he was not making any money for Apple specifically... so now hes gone. Probably for good. This video explains why I personally think the headphone jack disappeared from the new Apple iPhone 7. Here are a few links if you want to know more! Most Durable Smartphone of 2016 - Year End Summary Awards

05:25
2016 is over. And its time to evaluate all of the phones I have tested on my channel during this year. It was a tough choice trying to pick the strongest smartphone of 2016. There were so many good phones this year. The weakest was pretty easy. ↓↓↓↓↓↓ CLICK TO SEE MORE ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓ And there were a few failures of smartphones to add to the mix as well. 2016 was a very interesting year, and I have High Hopes for 2017! Having a durable cell phone is important for the people who keep their phones longer than a year or two. Its important to get a phone that will last the test of time. ALSO its very important to always use a case and a screen protector on your device. I never recommend using your phone without protection. You might have noticed that I didn't say much about the Galaxy S7 Active. This was intentional as I do not think the S7 Active should be winning any awards. 1) It is exclusive to AT&T, which makes it hard to obtain. AND its 'shatter resistant' screen is just glass covered in plastic. So, im sure its a good phone. What makes the iPhone 7 WaterProof? - Ultimate Test!!

04:49
Apples iPhone 7 claims to be iP67 'water resistant'. What does that mean? Can you go swimming with your phone? Will your phone be ok if it slips into the sink? or tumbles into the toilet? This video will answer all of those questions and more. I explain the differences between iP67, iP68, and IP69. And how much liquid abuse they can actually handle. The iPhone 7 has the bare minimum of water protection. I would suggest that you treat it like a normal phone, and that the iP67 protection is a bonus feature... not something you ever rely on. ESPECIALLY if you use your phone daily, and you keep important things on it. Here is the Samsung Note 7 WaterProof Test: https://youtu.be/ZiksU8Afr-4 Do you trust Apples 'Water Proofing' features? Note 7 Scratch Test - CORRECTION VIDEO - Gorilla Glass 5

04:04
The Note 7 has a few problems. But scratching early on Mohs Scale is not one of them. This video explains the problem I ran into with my Mohs scratch kit during my first test. The ONLY phone that this problem effected was the Note 7. None of my other other tests were compromised by this issue. I try my best to make my durability reviews fair and unbiased... Hopefully this video will clear up any confusion as to why MY Note 7 was scratching easy. As always, putting protection on your phone is recommended. A case and a screen protector. Not only will it protect your phone from damage, but it will increase the resell value when it comes time to upgrade your phone in the future. How to install USB wall outlet

04:31
Here is the dual USB outlet I use in this video!: http://amzn.to/1riiNId Here is a Qualcomm Quck charge outlet: http://amzn.to/231OgMG Let me know if those links stop working! Have you ever wanted to charge your phone but your outlets were being used by lamps, or computers, or other things that were charging? Well now this frees up 2 extra USB slots! This would work perfect by a couch, or by your TV, or living room where people need to charge their phones while they socialize, and it will increase the value of your home! The project takes about 30-40 minutes, and is pretty easy. Just make sure that you turn off ALL power to the outlet before removing anything from the wall. It's an awesome conversation piece. iPhone DRY ICE Screen Repair!! 'Glass Only'

04:34
'Just the Glass' repairs are tempting because they usually cost less than 10 dollars.... Which is just the price of the piece of glass and LOCA glue. THIS PROCESS WILL NOT WORK FOR SAMSUNGS - the glue is different. Normally when a repair technician attempts a 'glass only' screen repair on an iPhone 4, 5 or 6. They have to use super expensive equipment, OR get a heat gun and try not to burn their fingers while they remove the glass on 200 degree iPhone part. Luckily you can work with dry ice at the opposite end of the temperature spectrum with the same (if not better) results! Dry ice can remove the glass on your iPhone faster and safer than extreme heat! HERE is the iPhone 6 GLASS ONLY video at 8:20: https://youtu.be/z9drzO9hO_U?t=8m20s Here is the iPhone 5, 5s, and 5c, GLASS ONLY video at 4:00: https://youtu.be/L_kCY05jR10?t=4m Check your sanity levels before attempting this repair! iPhone SE battery replacement in 3 minutes fix

While replacing an iPhone battery is not the most easy thing in the world... it is still very possible. With a simple pentalobe screwdriver (linked above) and a little know-how the whole project can be done in about 30 minutes. You want to go slow and make sure not to damage any components. If your phone is not holding a charge for very long, or if the phone will drop from 50% to 0% battery life without notice, than a new battery will probably fix your issue. Replacing the battery does not erase your personal information if everything is done correctly. The biggest things to watch out for are the iphone screen ribbon cables. Make sure not the bend or flex them in any unnatural way. They are very fragile. Also, the battery needs to be handled with care. Do not bend, flex, or puncture the battery at all. Good luck! LG V20 Scratch Test - Bend Test - BURN test - Durability Video!

05:10
Smartphones are some of the most abused pieces of technology on the planet. Seriously. And some are built more sturdy than others. I'm here to test the durability of every major smart phone. Which phones will scratch easy? Which phones are made of plastic, and which ones are solid metal? Its important to know what you are getting into before you drop hundreds of dollars on a new phone. This case is inexpensive, and will protect your camera lens: http://amzn.to/2dPJ0Zb This case looks beastly too: http://amzn.to/2e7ZLBQ The LG v20 is the newest addition to the V line from LG. The V10 did incredibly well on my durability test last year: https://youtu.be/Xn8BwCx3l3k So watch the LG v20 video to find out how with the newest phone holds up to being scratched, bent, and even burned during the JerryRigEverything durability tests. Note 5 Camera Glass Lens Replacement Video (Galaxy S6 too)

02:44
PUT CLEAR TAPE OVER THE CRACKED LENS TO HELP HOLD IT TOGETHER AND KEEP GLASS SHARDS OUT OF THE CAMERA UNIT!! Honestly the SAFEST way to replace your camera lens is to remove the whole back glass panel, and then lift up the metal camera lens frame and replace THAT piece with the glass preinstalled. BUT if you want to assume the extra risk of killing your camera focus by dropping glass shards into the camera unit, you can attempt what is shown in this video. Note 5 WHITE lens complete housing: http://amzn.to/1mtliVA Note 5 GOLD lens complete housing: http://amzn.to/1PO99GK Note 5 BLUE lens complete housing: http://amzn.to/1PO9d9r Note 5 GLASS ONLY: http://amzn.to/1KcoPU2 Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are the same size glass. Galaxy S6 Blue/Black Glass only: http://amzn.to/24EdS3t Galaxy S6 Gold Glass only: http://amzn.to/1rACbB4 Galaxy S6 White Glass Only: http://amzn.to/24Ee16X PLEASE LEAVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK ON AMAZON WHEN YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL WITH YOUR REPAIR. MESSAGE THE SELLER *FIRST* IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES!! Cracked the glass camera lens on your cell phone? Don't want to take off the back panel to replace the lens housing all at the same time? REMEMBER: IF YOU GET GLASS INSIDE THE CAMERA ITSELF IT WILL STOP FOCUSING!! KEEP THAT AREA CLEAN AND GO SLOW. IF your camera stops focusing, wait 24-48 hours. Sometimes it will just start working with time. You can also replace your camera unit itself - I have videos on YouTube for every single type of galaxy phone. (S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus, Note 5) Good luck! The Google Pixel phone is durable indeed, but not invincible. Glass screens can still crack and shatter, and sometimes need to be replaced. This video will show how I replace the screen on my own Google Pixel (Regular sized) as well as how I remove the battery, and the charging port. luckily everything on this phone is pretty modular. And even better, the screen replacements arent super complicated. The screen of the Google Pixel is only held in place by adhesive. And two small T5 screws that hold the screen connector in place. If you want your screen to survive the removal process its incredibly important that you do not touch the LED with your metal tools. Replacing the Galaxy S7 Charging port is not easy, but I explain what needs to be done if there are no other options. What makes a Speaker Waterproof?! - Ultimate Test

Its time to submit another piece of tech to the ultimate test of waterproofing. The J&L Speaker can be found HERE: http://amzn.to/2h6s9Ut with $10 discount code: 7GYZVQSL Many pieces of technology claim to be 'Water Resistant' and then hope that customers will subconsciously think 'waterproof' when in reality those two terms are very different. Star Trek Rap Battle - Picard vs Kirk: https://youtu.be/OOV6XDtCO5A Xiaomi Mi5 Bend test: https://youtu.be/d2jav7UdQtE If your iPhone SE is not charging correctly... there are a few possible solutions. If you are sure that your charging cable works just fine. Make sure there is no dust or lint down inside your charging port. Lint build up can keep your charger from going in all the way. You can stick a thin wood or plastic tooth pick inside the port to clean it out. If that STILL doesn't work, you will probably need to replace the charging port. Only attempt this repair if you feel confident in your abilities. There are two screws at the bottom of the Apple iPhone SE. After that you should disconnect and remove the screen. Although not mandatory... it will be easier in the long run because you wont have to worry about hurting the iphone screen cables while you work on the charging port. Lumia 950 XL Bend test - Liquidless Cooling - Scratch Test

03:50
Its that time again. - Bending, Burning and Scratching all the major flagship smart phones to test their durability. The AMOLED screen of the Lumia 950XL excelled in the burn test, and survived the bend test... but how does it have 'liquid cooling' without any liquid inside the cooler? Who knows... PLEASE READ: For those of you with questions on 'heat pipes' or 'vapor cooling' I recomend this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKrdJpDSowY If you watch at 1:20, it will explain that distilled water is ideal for the temperature range that the Lumia 950XL will normally be at. Blu Energy XL - Scratch, Burn, Bend test - Durability Video

04:00
Midrange smart phones are giving the big name flagships a run for their money.... at HALF the price. HERE is the Blu Energy XL on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2aDvLZv I chose this phone to test (I buy all my own phones) because of the huge 5000mAh battery. This battery is so big, that you can even use it to charge other phones, or other cameras, using USB OTG. (USB 'on the go') This allows the power to flow from the Blu Energy XL, into whatever other device it is plugged into. Like a lifeline, or a blood transfusion. I start all my smartphone durability videos with a scratch test, then we check the quality of the materials. Is the phone built as advertised? Then we subject it to some bending. The tests are extreme, but do a good job of showing us what the phone will look like two years from now with normal use. Let me know what you think! What other phones should I test?! Mi Mix Drop Test - How durable is a Ceramic Phone?

03:53
The Ceramic Xiaomi Mi Mix is the first ceramic phone that I have tested on my channel. Considering I have tested almost 50 phones already, it makes me curious to see how this one handles life. The Mi Mix passed my normal durability test with flying colors... But can it withstand a normal drop? I start with a 6 inch drop, move up to one foot, and then 2 feet (knee height) to see what kind of damage gravity can inflict on the ceramic body. If the phone cracks at knee height... what would a pocket height drop do to it? Mi Mix TEARDOWN is HERE: https://youtu.be/m5MkZC1uRZY Mi Mix Durability test is HERE: https://youtu.be/_CZj-l9MJmg This video was filmed mostly with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. A Google Pixel was used for Slow motion along with an iPhone 7 plus. Galaxy S7 Active Scratch test, Bend test, Burn test - Durability video

04:30
The Galaxy S7 Active! This beast of a phone is what happens when a Galaxy S7 and an Otterbox make babies. A rugged, durable piece of tech. Its time to put the phone to the test. What will happen when the screen is scratched, or the phone gets burned? Will the phone stand up to the bend test?! The only way to know is to watch the video. Let me know what you think in the comments!! Samsung does offer top plastic layer screen replacements. I am not sure of the cost, but if your plastic layer gets scratched, contact them to get it swapped out. Motorola's 'shattershield' replacement is $30 and you have to do it yourself.
