WiFi Passive: new project needs 10,000 times less energy. This could change in the future thanks to a new project called WiFi Passive, which ensure that they need a minimum amount of energy to work. A group of researchers from the University of Washington have developed an interesting project funded by the National Science Foundation and Qualcomm, which seeks to make the WiFi connection more efficient, especially on mobile devices and in the Internet of Things. The new system known as Passive WiFi was introduced at the beginning of this 2016, but it is until now that they have been able to carry out the first tests with satisfactory results.
