We hope you learn a little, maybe chuckle a bit in this first Funny.bytes -- an occasional look at the lighter side of BLM issues: The Public Land Survey System is a way of subdividing and describing land in the United States. But the original PLSS surveys were often marked by wooden stakes or posts, marks on trees, pits, piles of rock -- not the most permanent of markers. See what this can lead to, as BLM surveyors deal it in the present...

This 13 part series, known as Fractured Land Patterns, is the history of BLM. It was created in the mid 1980's as an interpretation of BLMs colorful history. The historical perspective presented centers around the uses, federal laws, and landmark events on Americas public lands which contributed to the fractured land ownership patterns that remain today. The series is divided into 2 broad sections the first is called The Public Disposal Era and consists of videos 1 - 6. The second is called Conservation and Beyond and covers videos 7 -13. The thirteen chapters in this chronology trace the settlement of the West from colonial times through the passage of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (FLPMA), which provides BLM with its multiple use mission. Set against the backdrop of dynamic economic, social, and environmental change, and with shifting national priorities, this series explains how the missions of the General Land Office and the U.S. Grazing Service were merged with a stroke of the pen by President Harry S. Truman in 1946 to create the Bureau of Land Management Disclaimer: The opinions and statements of non-BLM personnel are included to illustrate alternative points of view at the time and do not necessarily represent the official position of the BLM.

This is a before and after video of my 2000 Mustang's exhaust. I put a Cherry Bomb muffler online for $30 and a tip from autozone for $20. It sounds a lot better than it did stock! This is a cheap way to make and V6 sound better. Note: the last picture is not actually dual exhaust. I put that other pipe there for looks (haha)

Our next door neighbor Melvin Trotter paid for a land surveyor to come out to find his property lines. He still insist that we are on his property. He had gotten so worked up arguing with land surveyor . The land surveyor told him it is a civil matter. After the surveyor left I could not help myself and had to say we are still waiting for your lawyers! THIS IS NOT A DISPUTE OVER A FEW INCHES OF LAND. THIS WAS OVER 20X120 FEET! THIS MAN WAS OUT BID BY OUR LENDERS.. THIS MAN WAS TRYING TO STEAL THE LAND. THE CITY WOULDN'T HAVE WENT IN OUR FAVOR IF HE WAS RIGHT! THIS MAN HAS MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES THAT HAS SPILLED OUTSIDE BEYOND HIS LAND. 2014 THE CITY MADE HIM CLEAN HIS YARD UP. HE IS A HOARDER! A primer on one of the most important companions to civil engineering: land surveyors. First 100 people to sign up will get three meals off their Blue Apron order free! Click here: http://cook.ba/2tNJ2b3 This video is sponsored by Blue Apron. Conventional measurement tools like a tape measure and protractor don't work for large civil structures and public works projects. Surveying is essentially the science of measuring big stuff. In this video I give a quick explanation of how surveying works and show a few ways you can do your own leveling survey at home. The short version is this: You fly me in, take care of my hotel, and I'll face down any scientific body you put against me. My only debate requirement is that you have someone with a Master's degree in a physical science either participating in, or supervising the event. Here's where you can get the orange survey pin I'm using in the video above: http://amzn.to/2qsrkdf Here's where you can get the washer I'm using: http://amzn.to/2qskaWr Getting a surveyor to stake out the corners and boundaries of your land isn't always a necessity, but when you do make the investment to have this work done - it only makes sense to put something in the ground to act as a longer-lasting solution so you can identify where the boundaries of your property are on-site. There are many different ways to do this, and the most ideal method can vary depending on what type of land you have. Some people use rocks, bricks, fence posts, trees, etc. If you want something that will give you some visibility (but won't stick out like a sore thumb), you might want to check out these low-profile survey stakes. These are what I'm using and they work pretty well!
