This kind of ana lens (anamorphic lens) adapter for iPhones has been existing for years now. These skateboarders guys from MOMENTS , just clone the lenses already on the market. The first one coming out were from Letus, then Moondog labs. Moondog Labs founders are ex Kodak and ex Zeiss optical Engineers, so the people who design these ana lenses for the movie industrie, where these kind of ANA lenses had been used since the 70's. Future Youtube Reviews will show which Lens from whom will perform best, but it is very safe to assume, that ex ZEISS optical engineers will outperform skateboard guys by far, when it comes to designing and manufacturing such an iPhone Ana Lens. Check out the real deal on iPhone Ana lenses rather here: www.moondoglabs.com . you will be thanking me later ....;)
Moondog Labs Anamorphic Lenses are wayyyyyy better and have been around a while. Many creators such as Matteo Bertoli, ThereGoesSpider/FilmicShift and Richard Lackey have some good examples of these. They look amazing.
iPads suppose to replace netbooks or something, I like it for large display without keyboard that gets on the way of display, though I would prefer a Mac OS on my iPad and this is how I felt science day 1 iphone 1 generation, not only ipad, also iPhone and iPad were simultaneous products apple developed. I still feel iPad needs to have Mac OS not iPad os.
Interesting point about the iPad...I've been using an iPad as my main 'computer' for the past 5 years but...it has major limitations so when the time came to upgrade, I decided to go with MacBookPro. However, I am an artist, illustrator, graphic designer so I would really like to use the new apps and the pencil on the new iPad. It's not quite enough of a drawcard for me to get one at this stage. I'm really hoping they introduce touch screen technology to the MacBookPro soon.
Love Boulevard AR. There is such a tremendous opportunity for museums with AR. As images become accessible everywhere, museums should pair with technologists to provide context around the art and create intimate experiences between the work and consumers.
For anyone on the fence about Moment lenses: the Sirui Wide Angle is just as good as the Moment Wide, and the Sirui Tele is better than the Moment Tele.
The best thing is that Sirui lenses cost half of what the Moment lenses cost, and actually work perfectly with the Moment Case.
Just a heads up. I’m going for the Sirui, but definitely going to buy the Moment Case and Anamorphic Lens.
And let’s be honest: there’s many manufacturers that make Wide Angle, Fisheye and Tele lenses for the iPhone (and Pixel), but this new Anamorphic Lens should make Moment shoot to the top of your list if you are even remotely interested in shooting videos on your phone. That thing is simply amazing!
If your priorities are Photography only, check out either Sandmarc or the amazing Bitplay lenses. I personally think Moment makes the best looking case, but Bitplay makes a perfect little photography case that turns your phone into an actual camera with physical shutter button and Tripp’s mount.
To each is own: I’m going for Moment, because for me they hit the perfect balance between quality optics and the convenience of a case that’s actually practical when you’re not using the lenses. Makes it way more likely that I end up using the lenses.
On like my 4th iPad, IPad Pro 12.9” love it; not using the Pencil enough; their very flat keyboard makes it so easy to travel anywhere with; a perfect tool when you want more screen real estate than an iPhone offers; thanks always for your great content.......”keep on keeping on”
I am so confused! I know what an anamorphic lens does, it compresses in the wide direction and then in post you have to stretch it back out so things don't look stretched tall. It was originally to get wider format on film than the native aspect ratio of the film. Is _that_ what this does? Do you have to post process it to see it, or is it something that just gives you horizontal lens flare like an anamorphic lens without actually being an anamorphic lens? Please school me.
For me you could skip the ipad review. Every few years there's a lot of hype around tablets and they get a little blip in sales but then they disappear again because they aren't as portable as a phone or as hi-res and powerful as a computer. They're literally the worst of both worlds. Still, wait, in a year and a half or two and one half years someone will be hyping them again and some people will feel like they have to buy them.
Hi, dear Sara. Please stop uploading so many great stuff reviewing videos. I bought a skateboard because of your boyfriend. It is actually Riptide R1 and I curse you. I also bought the helmet you wore, Thousand. Please stop this madness! My wallet is getting hard diet!! JK. I love all of them!!
