The tablet market may have slowed down a little, but I think there are still many people that use/want tablets. However for me personally I love and use the iPad Pro always and think that it is overall more convenient than a laptop, but I understand that for some people they need more than what a tablet can offer.
2014 months after the ipad air 2 was announced, i had an iphone 6 (for half a year) and ipad air 2 (for 2 years) got the iphone 6 plus (for 1.5 years) early 2017 got the iphone SE (still got it) and sadly sold my ipad air 2 cause i got a macbook pro 2012 13" (for free) i upgraded it to 8gb ram. so since i got rid of the ipad air 2 i decided to get ipad mini 2 (ocd coz the number 2) but that was a fail, its slow af and i just used the macbook wayyyy more. so in my opinion yeah tablets are kinda dying, i think its the lack of macOS being on the ipad.
what i have in mind is kinda stealing the idea from that windows computer that does it. but imagine your macbook right now, you could just take off the screen part and it does this little reboot/respring and its now functional as an ipad with iOS, touchscreen etc. then you place it back down and its back to being a macbook, cant touch the screen etc. this would nevvvvvvvveeeeerrrr happen cause it basically means instead of buying macbook and ipad you can just have this (which anyway if it did happen, they would just price it the same as what a macbook and ipad together would cost, probably higher)
I have a 12 inch iPad the first one they ever made I love it and I could never think of replacing it with a Laptop but there are times I have to use my computer tablets don’t do everything I wish they did. I have in fact written two books on an iPad but had to use my computer to edit my books when they came back from the editor.
Study Coco to come in to to be there by 8 15 are going out to eat for my birthday and not a lot of the time from now on and on about Nintendos and then Key 1 2 days and then we can get a better idea than the one I was looking forward for a positive response to your your phone and send you a good if too good to me I
Tablets have the processing power of a smartphone but with a bigger screen, and have the portability of a laptop minus the bulk. Its right in between, and is the best of both worlds. Tablets are still being used by students, seniors, and kids. They are not dying anytime soon. Unless we find a way to make laptops more convenient, and hold their processing power, tablets arent going away.
I didn't buy one because an iPad pro would have cost as much as an Acer spin 3. I loved my iPad until it's battery went out, and I didn't want to spend $650 on an iPad when I can spend $500 on a laptop that had better specs
I'm almost finished migrating majority of my uses from my Mac book Pro to my galaxy tab A6 and tbh its eye opening to really get some clarity on what I actually use and need, if only my tab A6 used type c I could have made the jump so much quicker but as of now I'm firmly on the side that tablets are far from dead
i guess by tablet you were referring to the mobile ones, like ipads and galaxy tabs or whatever. used those, and laptops, but i like the surface the best. power of a top end laptop but portability more similar to tablet. tablet on crack, essentially. perfect spot for me. hopefully those don't die out.
lol you just described me just now "a casual gamer that just wants a bigger screen but doesn't want to carry a laptop" well I also just don't want to carry a phone and a laptop with me at the same time so I have a 10.1inch tablet that runs both a windows and android OS so I love tablets in this aspect
im student, my tablet is handwriting notebook. tabs3 under400g, cost near 500$ in korea, can edit pictures, photos and screenshots with notetaking. ipad costs me over 1000$ and i think this its overpay for writing things.
tablet is wonderful device.
Rumour of these products going by the wayside is vastly over-rated. Let's face it: they have a limited life-span. I have yet to get more than 3 years out of a computer before it dies. Not even four years. Never mind whatever up-grade in product efficiency; the product just does not have a long lifespan. So expect to replace these products on a regular basis. And by now they are as indispensable as the bathroom sink; they are not just luxury items.
This is a really short sighted video, even for 2016. The tablet is going to stick around because it's the computer for kids and the device you use to read books and post to facebook. A lot of people struggle with the ideal of having both a tablet and a laptop because it does the exact same thing for them. I personally know plenty of people who have wifi, cellphone, and tablet, but no laptop because they don't need one.
are you kidding
i can do everything i need to do , all day long on my ipad mini and i dont have to squint at a tiny celfone display. Tablet sales are down because the economy and jobs are keeping people from buying a new tablet every time apple releases a new model. I rarely have to boot up my windows machine , maybe once a week for updates and not much more. Tablets are all you need 99% of the time.
