Android is a feature rich and mature platform but there are still several features that Android lacks, especially features from the iPhones and iOS, and other custom Android skins. Well, in this video, we talk about 7 cool features that Android still lacks and we are hoping Google brings these features with Android P (or Android Pie, maybe).
1. Screenshot Tools
2. Native Screen Recording
4. File Sharing
5. Full Backups
6. Notification Syncing
8. Other features: iMessage, Contextual Navigation Buttons, Theme Store, Data Saving like Datally.

a big huge lol ... can't stop laughing ... i think your crooked eye made you miss all the rich features in android ... please go back to the cave you came from ... i have friends who are die hard fans of apple and even they hated the gestures ... i will say paid stunt
Stopped watching the video at the halfway mark. I don't know what you are talking about. I use Honor 7x with Android version 7.0 and i can record the screen with audio. Samsung runs on Android too and it has moving screen capture option.
Yea this video gets a thumbs down...I dont want stock apps, because usually you dont like them, end up uninstalling them, and downloading something you would use in the first place...Android is about creating your own space
Onscreen buttons hate? Watched your channel for the first time and terribly disappointed. You should dump stock and try resurrection remix. Its navigation bar feature brings windows pc like toggling features on android. In fact i m eagerly waiting for it on an infinity screen
We don't need those app built in to be honest, I'm sure someone would build a third party app for those mentioned features or just buy a device from a manufacturer that includes said features.
If Google include all of those into AOSP it'll be too bloated in my opinion.
Hands free text-to-speech and speech-to-text is the major feature Android lacks the most. I used it for years with Windows Phone and a Bluetooth headset safely while driving, cooking or doing other things that required both hands and visual focus. It is the single thing I would add to Android and it would make our roads safer too!
Dude theres also one thing that google makes android for every phone so that it could be used on everyphone while apple makes ios just for iphones and if google implements them in android, android will surely get bulky and difficult to be compiled for every phone. Though there are custom roms that comes with all such features packed in for you. btw i hope to see them too... also i think moto is implementing them in motoX5 *rumours* just check it out.
These are only lack in pure stock Android bro like nexus, pixel n android one devices. Android like miui, touchwiz, emui etc has almost all these features. Even we can get such by aosp based custom roms. By open source, Google has learned a lot from cyanogen in previous days... N is learning from miui these days... So I don't think these mentioned features are missing from Android.
Hey beebom... you are wrong about you said that Android cannot take screenshots but in Google assistant enabled devices having a feature to take screenshot and share instantly and that's Google. Check it out????
And here I am recording all my screen with internal audio with mobizen, using substratum without root, clipboard, full backups, themes inbuilt, pop up windows, using multi window for ages, inbuilt file manager, device maintenance etc and yeah I'm on android too but the samsung experience UI makes all the difference. The beautiful UI that you have been hating on.
The reason why it lacks is due to all the OEMs bringing their own gestures and functions and features. Android is still open source so anyone can make it their own. It's like you asking Google to lock down Android because the features aren't available to all when it is. Just through the Google play store. This is why I like microSD card expansion on Android. Place most apps on SD and the one you want to use on internal memory
GALAXY Note 8 + Nova Launcher = Problem Solved
1. S Pen for annotation. Also included with the screenshot tools.
2. GIF Recording (Yeah, I admit it. We need an app for complete screen recording).
3. Nova Launcher for gestures.
4. WiFi Direct for file sharing.
5. Full backups? Google's backup is sufficient. You don't want to clutter your new phone once again with old data. And if you do still want the old data then Samsung provides tool for that.
6. Notification syncing: Try using SideSync - You don't just have the notifications on the screen but you can also choose to have the entire phone on the screen. I attend calls on my laptop without touching the phone.
7. Universal clipboard 📋: Again, try using SideSync. You can clip data from one place and paste in another. You can share mouse and keyboard. There are tons and tons of features.
Nice video but does not cover the entire android audience. But then again, its the beauty of android. You pay only for what you want.
The thing is most PC's run Windows so android will not natively support sync.
And native sync is much needed
**universal message apps are there but why didn't. Google make allo defalt if. They did it'll be perfect
Just get miui 9 has all the features u mentioned (including the screenshot tools)
You can't have a universal app to share with the android ecosystem. Your argument doesn't stand there. Not everyone also wants to use iTunes to back up. Android is an open source software. Most of what you are saying is just lame. Gestures???? WTF cares about gestures???? Native functionality can easily be achieved by Pixel not other manufacturers. Lemme just say FUCK YOU for making this video. Great work on other videos but this was just wack.
Dude Android is open source. All the features you mentioned in the video are already there using some or the other app. In fact users are free to choose the app they want which doesn't happen on iOS. What you are asking for is a unified solution for each and everything on that list. The term 'unified' still doesn't make any sense since Android roms are heavily customized by manufacturers for their phones. No company would prefer to give same software features on a 7k and a 50k phone even if the base software is open source.
Wait.... The first 2 or 3 made sense.
After that you just wanted just exactly the same thing as iOS and not an alternative. We have solutions provided by Google, which is important. People who don't care about a few things, wouldn't like shit like Datally etc bloating their phone. It's better we have a solutions on the store. Unlike iOS we at least have alternatives.
