Great first impression review Marques! You described it precise and clear as thought I can feel the phone in my hand. I noticed there's improvement in the use of graphics to put facts about the phone which looks neat and nice!
I like what the HTC 10 had to offer... It fits all my power user needs without too much "over and above", and it's different... If for any other reason at all, I also chose it to stay far from out of the ridiculous "dogfights" between iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S users...
I'm still using my HTC M8 3 years later. still works great. HTC are the most underated phone out there. Very reliable phones, never break. All the shops sell Samsung and I Phone and everyone surely knows how bad they are but everyone follows the crowd, its sad really that HTC do not get the recognition
I don't think they should have taken away the boom sound I mean that's one of the things they are known for. I know they didn't really get rid of them but at the same time they did. Well to me anyway they did. That was one of my many reasons why I like HTC. Still a huge fan though!
Samsung has definitely come a long way but their designs will always look tacky to me. That might be because they have an ungodly amount of spin-off/budget devices. HTC always fully realizes an aspect they're trying to convey with their designs.
Oh. My. Goodness. I need this. I'm still using my good ol' HTC One M7. So far it has never failed me. I read that people had a lot of issues with it but mine has been behaving well all these years. Strange, but good. But yeah, I'm tempted to get the HTC 10.
hibbsje This will offer you a much better experience than the OnePlus bro, the software on OP is not up to par compared to HTC. Plus you will be getting more with the Camera, Audio, and Build Quality/Warranty (UhOh Protection replaces your phone for free if you break it).
I completely dismissed this phone on release and (for me) it was because of the front facing speaker change) looking back on it (NOW) I don't know why it flopped...this still seems like one of the best phones out, especially if you like to tweak/root your phone.
+JESUSISGREATEST HTC has always fascinated me with their mobile phones. Always very original, only ones, highlighted among others ... This was his essence ... But they lost it when they began to copy models of competition (...)
Very nice phone, but in Samsung's defence about duplicate apps, the integration of Samsung apps on a Note device is just awesome. Multitasking and multi windows flagship years before Google. S Note is way better than Keep, the calendar also integrates the s pen features to write on the almanac or just to type new events, the calculator is very nice too, the browser is faster than chrome (although it lacks bookmarks sync if your a chrome desktop user)... and again, multitasking is just great, and lots of apps have supported Samsung on this, our at least those I need: YouTube, browser, chrome, s note, blue mail, solid explorer, maps, music, spotify, gallery, calculator... among others.
Nowadays hardware is already pretty good. I believe that the better experience comes with the software integration, ease of use and functionality.
After trying Google tablets, Samsung software on the s2 is just way better than pure android experience, as well as Sony's tablet experience... just to name a few examples.
You, as the best tech reviewer, may I have your permission to add just one suggestion, please?
Battery capacity in SI units (milli ampere hour) should be "mAh" but certainly not "MAH" (mega ampere hour??)
Keep up the great work!
+Siwus451 and i had a waterproof phone and it's not very useful. the only usage i had was taking photo in the pool. but we can find waterproof cases for the htc and it s more safe than the s7's system
sorry for my bad english
yeah i have it and it s the best. the camera is more detailled than the s7 and more natural. oh and the screen is amazing. the whites are whites not like the s7. the sound and the design is a lot better and the device is really solid and feels great. you don t have to wear a case, just a tempered glass and you can enjoy the design, not like the s7
Htc are the most reliable phones ive ever used. I upgraded to the Samsung s6 and to be honest I miss my HTC m9. Got yo wait until next year to upgrade back to htc and I can't wait. Samsung was a glitchy let down to me.
Iv still got the HTC one M8 and it has some problems here and there, but overall it seems good. Though it is my first smart phone. Then when I heard about this one the look and such makes me want to get it but I think I will wait a bit longer before I do so.
R u planning to shift to Samsung S7 or HTC 10, want to transfer old phone data like Contacts, photos, videos, sms, mms, call logs, calenders,WhatsApp chat history from old phone, quickly without PC/cables or Cloud. Try SmartIO App
this is bs. we all know that we are buying the same phone every couple years... they hardly change. you spend $600+ to "upgrade" your phone when really all your doing is waisting a buttload of money on something that you hardly benefit from...
+spark_156 well you could always stay a couple of generations behind and buy yourself an m8 for $200 off eBay. rather than the $600. I'm still using my m8 and its still plenty fast enough. I don't plan on upgrading for a while. just don't see the point.
