Is that a list for an average NBA player?
Xperia ZX1 C is the only true compact phone on this list!
For the rest I'd prefer Samsung galaxy S8 because it more narrow than the phones you suggest and better looking of course.
Love the Sony compacts, but the have got rid of the great FM radios.
I have had a Xiaomi Redmi 4x (3gb global version) for a week and it's incredible for £100 ish, one handed size, with FM radio and IR blaster... and 4100 mah battery....and fingerprint scanner...
Feel like I have found the perfect phone after a number of poor years
I almost went for Xperia XA last year when I was getting a new phone, but I went with J7 2016 in the end, and I'm still using it to this day, and it really rocks I must say. Main reason why I did not get Sony was battery life, since I saw many people complaining about it. But yeah, I was almost sold on that edge to edge screen, but still there are those Sony bezels that should be a bit smaller.
Hmmmm my palm size is huge and my fingers a loooong and a 5.5" phone is a perfect one handed phone for me and I prefer a 5.7" phone like the SGN5 and even a mi max I can sometimes use one handedly but I may drop it sometimes so a 5.7 inch phone is still a one handed phone for me 😂
On this topic, the new iPhone X & bezel-free androids herald important change in the smartphone market. Fans of small phones, like many of us here, are about to finally get some love! There are more of us (small phone fans) than you realize. A lot of people using medium phones are secretly pining for something smaller without losing screen real estate.
I think Apple will lead this change by now ditching the phablet market. They will ditch the iPhone “plus” form factor. Their idea being that all existing iPhone 5.5” “plus” users (and most of the current 4.7” users) will migrate over to the new “X” form factor with its 5.8” screen. That’s enough to please both camps, covering almost the entire Apple user base. But to capture the SE/5S crowd they’ll make a compact version of the X, with a total chassis size somewhere between the SE and the 4.7” iPhones. This “iPhone X compact” or “Xc” would probably shoot for a total screen size around 5” with the phone body dimensions close to the SE or slightly bigger. This would be a smart move, allowing Apple to recapture the smartphone market by appealing to everyone. It would also end the ridiculous phone size arms race by settling big phones around 5.7-6 inches max.
Android makers will follow this same trend, with “big” phones plateauing at a body size closer to the iPhone 6/7/8 and S7, and a bevy of “small” phones (which will be considered medium phones) with screens around 5” and body sizes close to the iPhone 5/SE and Sony XZ1 Compact.
The era of giant phones is coming to an end!
As much as i would love this I just cant see it happening. As technology gets better they will want big 'casing' to incorporate the better mechanics, we're already seeing a majority of phones removing the headphone jack so they can have space for better internals.
I have a feeling the small amount of people that love small phones (including myself who finds even the 4.7inch phones too big) will just get forgotten about :(
Im glad I'm not the only one that's been dying for flagship level one handed sub-5.5" phone. The smaller Pixel would be perfect if it had QHD res like the XL, and a bigger battery. Pixel 2 is even worse as it STILL lack QHD res, but now also lacks a headphone jack.. smfh
I use the A3 2017 for 6 months not and I love it. It is fast, doesnt lag, design and build quality is great, perfect size (compared to Iphone 4.7 way better to operate my wife has one so I know) camera mekes good photos in sunny conditions.
