I bought the black ones on Amazon for $30. I often listen to podcasts at work. The one earbud pairing is actually nice for that. They sound good enough, & the black ones are discreet. Of course they're worse than the Apple version, but I feel way better having spent $30 instead of $160 (especially if I lose them)
I have had these for about a year (knock off) and I have a huge connectivity issue. They go in and out about 10-15% of the time, and if I put my phone in my back pocket the connection goes in and out about 70% of the time. I also have a problem with keeping them paired. Sometimes they will randomly go into pairin mode and have to be re paired with my phone. Another issue is that the left ear will be out of sync with the right one. But I think for the cost they are still pretty good for the cost. As long as I keep them in the side pocket.
There are many of those on Amazon but people were saying that many of the 5 star reviews were actually fake and the fake AirPods were often defective. So no, I wouldn't take a chance with those fake AirPods and buy the real ones instead. I got the AirPods today and I think they're probably best Apple product so far lol.
Well buying this won’t make you that much of a cheap person because as he said it’s slightly similar and why waste 160 dollars on something that’s easy to lose I’d rather use the cheap one till I lose it and when I do lose it I wouldn’t be worried because I didn’t pay 160 for them
This test is bad and useless because If you would have used them just one time to watch a Youtube video or to play any game, you would have immediately recognized an immense delay (about 0,5 seconds) between video and audio !! This is really annoying so you can only use them to listen to podcasts !! On the other hand the Bluetooth range is really impressive but after all they are just waste of money because of the permanent async audio: the longer you use them, the higher the delay gets :-(
That’s cool that you can get something similar for only $40. But I didn’t get AirPods for its look. I got them because they’re so seamless and responsive. They’re like second nature to me now. You put them in and boom. They’re connected to my iPhone X and I didn’t have to think about it or turn something on. That was it. No buttons to press or hold. And they’re small and I can barely feel them in my ear. I can summon Siri my simply double tapping the left pod and can reply to a text or look something up. Again, no buttons to press or hold.
But yeah, I do understand that there’s a market for $40 AirClones and I can definitely appreciate that.
I’d like to know what the difference in sound is between the knock offs and the wired headphones that come with an apple product. If it is no difference, I’d rather save the $50 and stick to my wired headphones.
I would want you to make another video of the same HBQ Pods after the usage of few weeks or a month to see what it looks like - if possible and then we can know if it is worth. Thank you for your fantastic videos - keep unboxing :)
IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING BUYING THESE PLEASE READ THIS:
I purchased these as a substitute for the air pods this Christmas. Everything you mentioned in this video is correct, however it seems you did not notice the thing that was the biggest deal breaker for me. The way that the Bluetooth works on this device, with one earbud being the main receiver and then transmitting that signal to the other, results in a delayed audio. This means that if you like to watch videos, movies, etc., the audio will be out of sync and you will be hearing the words come out of someone's mouth about a quarter of a second after they say it. This was frustrating enough for me that I forked up the $159 for the Apple branded ones and have not looked back since.
Listen to me as close as you can. Never ever buy any product from DH gate or allíexspress. I bought a fursuit (don’t start that conversation, I’m not a furry it was for my sisters birthday) and It was a really nice looking on the site, when it showed up it was a poorly stitched, loose ugly thing. Waisted my money. So never buy anything from Those sites
