Believe it or not, i still use my Nexus 6P 64 GB, never got into bootloop or had to be reinstalled. My previous Nexus 6P (32 GB) works too but can't acces the antenna anymore. Simcard does read in but can't find the phoneoperator's signal, so LTE is dead on that one. I'm using both phones to store the Photosphere elements in since i was sellected as trusted Streetview Photographer and did got into SV.
What makes me very sad, is the end of the Nexus program all together this year. No more updates, no more support. Only thing we get is security patches. I'm still sporting my 5x. And I'll admit, I'm a technology jumper. This is my second smart phone ever. My first was iPhone 5, which I bought, and then a week later, the S came out. Then I got the nexus 5x and fell in love with both Android, and the Nexus program. I became a purest real quick. I swapped phones with the wife's Samsung, didn't like it, broke my first 5x, tried an HTC, didn't like it, bought another 5x. Tried the Droid, didn't like it.
Fast forward to the near future, pixel, the next great thing! Hooray! Nexus's newest generation. But wait, nearly $1000 for a phone? But? Why? Ok maybe they'll come out with something like when they brought out the flagship 6P and 5x..... But then poof. The worst news ever. The end of the Nexus program.....
I'm hoping One+ will deliver what Google discontinued to promise... I'm still searching for a new phone
Samsung Galaxy Nexus is still competitive to low end devices of 2018 with LineAge OS 13 (ANDROID 6.0).
In combination with Lineage OS 13 + Nova Launcher + Limit max running processes to 4 from dev options it's fast as XIAOMI Mi 4x with MiUi plus the screen is still a lot better.
Nexus phones were great, affordable development devices, with friendly dev features like unlockable bootloaders, ability to root etc. What is Google offering for devs now? A jack less super expensive phone that no one requested. Samsung already makes premium phones, why did Google have to become that kind of OEM?
I had the nexus 4 and i was very unhappy with it.It was overheating.Often turned off or updated like windows for no reasson.Youtube app was unusable i dont know why.Really bad phone. Also i could not play while charging cause was stopping charging because of overheating. The only thing cool about it was that laminated display but still makes it one of the worst purchases i ever done. And i got the phone new from Altex.Dont buy that garbage.
