Just recently the developers of the popular Substratum theme engine have found a way to enable custom theming on any unrooted Android Oreo device. This video shows you how to get it working on your phone. Enjoy!

F**k off why Google don't provide a theme engine by default so we gonna use easier theming on any device cyanogenmod AKA LOS now days abandoned theme engine too miui only for miui users that os isn't possible for every android Google is working well they improve android system ui looks so sexy and cool but lake of colors and customization.
When we will get full feature rich OS for smartphone? developer of smartphones are only focused on security patches and selling application on there stores and advertise thats why users go for wrong way and screwed up with there smartphone and using rooting cracking patching brain burning and unsecured method
Jerememe oh really? They bombard me with this message every time I open the app and I have to force close and press back multiple times to get through it just to install the theme I've been using for months. You are the one whose retarded
my xperia xz1 is not rooted and I tried removing the cable as shown in the video but the andromeda says it needs to be connected to desktop client to function with substratum. I cannot use it without connecting my phone to PC.
Which substratum themes you were using in this video! I want to know the name of theme which themed your play store(with black title bar and white others things) also which theme themes your Instagram with that beautiful navbar)?
All was good till: you'll lose your theme settings if you reboot (aka run out of battery). Then you have to do the "plug to laptop" process again..... Nah, if it is not fully mobile independent/native, not interested. Thanks for the info though
Nothing Changes for me, even when its installed correctly and says connected. I installed a nav bar theme, worked once now it wont change at all, even when I try multiple times. Any help? Oreo and Pixel XL.
Hi, two questions, If I have a theme installed does it override my Nova Launcher setup, or integrates with it? How does it work? Also what are the nav bar themes you are using? Can you hide the nav bar in these themes? Thanks
Hey, this question I have doesn't have anything to do with this video. I have Galaxy s j3 and I'm trying to factory reset. When I first purchase this phone is made up a Samsung account now I need to know the password to the account to factory reset this phone any advice. you guys can give me.
You may want to google how to use it afterwards. Because if it's not setup properly(it's not hard at all) the tools mentioned in this video won't work. Enable adb debugging on phone in Developer options.
karan kumar yup! Download substratum and substratum samsung (add on key) its $2 on play store. Im using swift key black theme on my s8 on top of my black material from samsung theme store. Swiftkey theme will make your instagram fb messenger all google apps black. It looks sleek. And save battery.
