V30 provided by LG for video.
The s9 lacks the wide angle camera and dac but has a better camera and a better processor, it depends on what you need on a phone really, i suggest checking out reviews and specsheet before making up your mind
But... no LED notification light. I know I know, it has always on display. You can see the LED light from 10 m away doing other things, but you can't see jack shit on the always on display unless you physically go back to your phone to check it. Or you can keep it always on you, in which case the whole idea loses all its fucking meaning. All of this, because LEDs cost a fortune. Come on LG.
Man I've had the V10 and the V20 for the past 2 years and I freaking love this series so much. If it was for the fact that they removed the removable battery is the only reason I held out with my V20 this long. I am such a power user I carry 3 spare batteries at all times. But until I watched this video I didnt know there was wireless charging. Oh well the V20 is still a beast for me right now I just wanna be patient and get something worth my wait. Pixel 2 still the top of the food chain?
I love my V20 and the V30 doesn't impress me enough to upgrade. But it looks like an overall decent phone. But i do like my phones to have a removable battery as they tend to die and need replacing without having to replace the phone. And i love the 2nd screen. That floating bar doesn't cut it for me.
Props to LG for putting on a 16mp real camera, I was just about to buy a 16mp digital camera because I don't like camera phones, but now with this duel two camera in the back, I don't need to buy a digital camera
Trying to choose between Pixel 2 xl, Oneplus 5t, and LG V30. Don't really care about wireless charging
Oneplus because of cheap price, fast face unlock, nice screen, and headphone jack
Pixel 2 because of software, great camera, stereo speakers and water resistance
LG V30 because of Quad DAC, good camera, water resistance and small bezels
Pls help meh choose
Just got one in 2018 mainly for the camera photo/video capabilities and the ease of transferring files to-and-from my desktop computer. Loving it!!! The colors are great and the resolution is awesome. I plan to use it with my Osmo handheld stabilizer for video work. Thanks for the review.
Picked up the v30 yesterday. I'm unsure of the display. It turns blue at any angle but looking straight at it. And whites are more gray... Kind of driving me crazy. Other colors look over saturated to me, so I can't figure out if it's my eyes or I'm just not used to OLED yet. Anyone else?
I have an Iphone 10 which I'm highly considering trading for a V30. I think the expandable storage, built in DAC and OLED really make me consider it but the headphone jack is something I have come to consider a necessity for me so it's cool to see LG meeting their users demands.
Props LG for making a phone like this. Doesn't come along too often!
Guys, i own three batteries and i switch between them for longer battery power throughout the day the idea of being able to charge an extra battery while im using my phone not being tangled by cords is amazing! ^.^
I am always on the go and battery banks are not the ideal solution for longer battery life but switching the battery is lol
Please Marque let them know we like the removable battery and 3.5mm headphone jacks! :-) i own bluetooth headphones and there not always ideal for on the go!
Thank you for the detailed review I found it incredibly helpful. A quick question, I have always been Apple and want to move to Android. Do you think this is the best starting point for me, or should I go the whole way and just start on Google Pixel 2 or iPhone X. Would rather play it safe to start out. Thank you, Rhys.
P.S. In awe of the level of detail and education that you provide!
