I have a suspicion that the "Cardi B" music action is either a demo button or part of some conspiracy for promotion. I've never Googled her or listen to her music on Play Music or YouTube, and yet the button still pops up.
The one thing that I really missing and would like to see is the opportunity to create folders inside the app drawer. Having 100 + apps without any personal organization does not allow for quick use of the phone. This is something that has been lacking for a long time and cripples the user experience.
"Apple was the first major OEM to adopt a gesture based navigation system"
Well, Palm's webOS actually was the first by far, and while Palm failed, they were still a major OEM in my opinion.
Not to mention Nokia N9 and Blackberry PlayBook devices.
Truly, gestures based navigation were more like a swan song for former industry leaders before Apple's "revolutionary" iPhone X.
Haim Peretz copy paste apple? Did you forget that apple copy pasted the gestures from a 10 year old phone, the Palm pre? Or the notch from the essential phone? Shut the fuck up because you don't know anything about tech if you say stuff like "no need to copy paste apple!"
Eliminate the bottom black bar. Leave the pill over apps. Swipe left for back. Swipe up for overview. Swipe up and hold for multi window. Swipe right for quick switch. Seems like the most logical way to do gesture nav
Here's some constructive criticism : well made video that summarizes the new features well but this is pretty much useless. Mkbhd, MrMobile, all the Android Authority, Central, Droid Life people already did this video a week ago. Having the benefit of the time you should've used the features already and given something more, the "I'll have to test the Digital Wellbeing Things" sticks out especially.
TakingShapeCreations I’ve never experienced “lag” since post s6 models. My note 8 is flawless and I cant be more happy with how far Samsung has come. I get a security patch every month along with bug fixes. Samsung is slow with the android os updates and yes, pixel does better but I had no issue with waiting because nothing really changed with Oreo update and it’s ran great with no problems. Ive had note 8 since last September and it’s as snappy as the day I bought it. Android p is too much like Apple with swipe up feature. Also, pixels have faults of there own . I spent a hr getting a pop up ad off his pixel 2 xl last weekend. I’ve never had a pop up ad on my Samsung. Back in the day maybe but not since note 4 or s3 have I experienced that.
Harry Nelson that's true, most OEM UI has most of these features already but they still don't get updated, not even the monthly patches. Pixel still wins. Also not to mention Samsung phones lag like crazy after a few months of use, Pixel just flies through everything. It's as fast as day one.
