Spot on, not afraid the pull the punches, and sees through the possible Intel diddling for benchmarks. With ARM chips making a push into the laptop space it's be good if you did a video on how these chips (834 and 845) are really doing for what they are.. they're getting a bad rep by the desktop hardware youtubers.. but I guess this is android authority not windows authority..

Wow buddy, How much did samsung pay you for this fake review....Your graph for 2D water physics simulation is completely out of scale, The Atom and Exynos differ by approx 335 units but the graph for Exynox is double the length. You are seriously making a fool of the entire world....
funny your mention that they could be sinister because they know what app they're running & don't these phones always know... they just gave you some advise for better results after how many times that you bypassed the option?, but wouldn't that be called game enhancements on other phones ? in other news Samsung had their phones go into overdrive when a benchmark in their database was ran, so at least they didn't try & pull a fast one like Sammy , they did alert you after a couple of test runs which did improve the scores right? what Samsung did was "sinister"
I think you should have used the xiaomi mi pad 2 with the atom x5 or the acer predator tablet with atom x7 to get a fair comparison. This is just unfair coz the z3580 was designed to compete with the snapdragon 800,801,805 and exynos 5420.
This is late to the party, but this video is done so poorly (inaccurately) Firstly, it's quite hilarious that the atom is placed against the flagship processors from Samsung and Qualcomm. Shouldn't it been compared to the comparable processors from the other two companies?
the next thing I have issue with is the presenter insistence on there being some dubious thing going on with the atom with regards to benchmark detection. It's been shown that the other manufacturers do the same, but to see the atom exclusively being mentioned throughout the entire video for this particular issue.
lastly while the battery rest was done quite reasonably. I would also argue that the phones display size should have been taken into account.
tbh I don't think a proper accurate test between the processors is possible seeing how you can't control other components which might affect various performance parameters (RAM, display type and size, storage chips).
i have asus zenfone 5 with intel atom processor & my friend has samsung galxy s3.
about zenfone 5......
the hanging and lagging on my phone is very less than s3.
my phone runs smooth but the major problem is it heats after 30 minutes of gaming.
now about samsung galaxy s3...
phone looks good, super amoled display is awesome
but the lagging and hanging problem is major issue
when i press the menu button it takes 1-2 second to minimize apps and show home.
ya this phone is also heats with 30-35 minutes of gaming.....
cost of both phones are
asus zenfone 5 (a501cg) =155$
samsung galaxy s3 (i9300) =335$
It is not fair to compare phones costing exactly half the price! An apples to apples comparison must be made for a more reasonable conclusion to be drawn. A comparison of Qualcomm and enoxys chips sold in phones costing as much as the zenphone, would be more reasonable.
You are the man! I love it when people do their homework and actually run tests that make sense and run enough to be thorough.
Can you make a video (or just comment if it's simple) explaining why some benchmarks were better after running a game and getting the phone hot? That was shocking to me, and I saw that each one at different times had that happen.
