X box one S will upscale all games and streams to 4k. It does this via a 4k upscale checkerboarding engine inside the mother board. Thus, all games get pushed to 4k. PS4 pro does not. It does however upscale all new games going forward to 4k. But the older releases do not get upscaled. The latter is up to individual publishers to remaster and release the software patch for those title. As understood PS4 upscaling is done at the software level in the SDK kit. While X box one S an X upsacles at the hardware level and when the game is first being coded. This is why I bought an X box S.
You missed out (and so did microsoft, they never actually properly advertised this) the fact that the Xbox ONE S supports 4K Upscaled games....so it basically does exactly what the PS4 Pro does, but for £100 less. Sony have just gotten away with the 4K Hype around the Pro, because they've advertised it hugely. Whereas Microsoft are saving their 4K advertisement for their Project Scorpio. Kind of a shame really, the Xbox ONE S does everything a PS4 does (and more, since it has 4K Blu Ray) however Microsoft have neglected to advertise the 4K Upscaled Games.
Honestly I would rather have an external power supply. This component is the most susceptible to electrical anomalies and is designed to fail to prevent your console from being fried.
With an external power supply you sacrifice aesthetics for practicality. Before, if your power supply failed you go buy a new one, plug it in, and you're set. Now, if your internal power supply fails, you have to find one (probably more expensive) and install it yourself which will void your warranty. Or you pay someone else to do it (even more expensive) and still void your warranty. Or you send it to Microsoft, which at the time of failure is probably outside warranty anyway, pay at least $150 dollars, and wait 2 months.
there comes a point to where these consoles are in the Money making business let's throw together a Xbox with a s on it and Sell it this white Xbox will never Have Computer Life like Graphics like PC so why even Upgrade!!!??
Xbox one is so much better because it is black so it won't get dirty and who cares if the Xbox one is big I mean it doesn't really matter because I like it big. So save your money because there isn't a lot of upgrades, save it for project Scorpio.
