The Amoeba Sisters videos demystify science with humor and relevance. The videos center on Pinky's certification and experience in teaching science at the high school level. Pinky's teacher certification is in grades 4-8 science and 8-12 composite science (encompassing biology, chemistry, and physics). Amoeba Sisters videos only cover concepts that Pinky is certified to teach, and they focus on her specialty: secondary life science. For more information about The Amoeba Sisters, visit: http://www.amoebasisters.com/about-us.html
We cover the basics in biology concepts at the secondary level. If you are looking to discover more about biology and go into depth beyond these basics, our recommended reference is the FREE, peer reviewed, open source OpenStax biology textbook: https://openstax.org/details/books/biology

i love it. isnt it funny that i have professors with pHd's and all these other resources. but if i could i would always come to your videos. indepth enough for college but still broad. and the animation makes things better tbh
I have a question please answer it because I have test on coming Friday. The question is Why the both of the pedigree charts are Autosomal recessive? Also canyou answer me what is Autosomal Dominant and What is Autosomal recessive and also whats the difference between them ?
I LOVED this video. My science teacher plays some of your videos for our lessons and I always enjoy watching them. Now I know more about pedigrees and I get to find out a lot of cool stuff. For example, my sister has all the same traits of my father and I have all the traits of my mother. Maybe that's why whenever I visit relatives, they would say I look like my mom. XD
my daughter has a test on hereditiy this video is extremly helpful she broke it down really good espessiclly for people just now leaning about heridity and genetics in genral this video is very helpful
that doesn't make sense at all your tell me that a dominant E in the upper family had 75 percent of them got that it should be half with attached and half with free I've tried it three different times and it doesn't come out like you have it you should redo that punnet square for the first generation
You are absolutely correct; we so greatly appreciate that catch!! 👏 We really appreciate you letting us know, because YouTube editor allows us to edit out small things while the video still has a low view count. Hopefully now that has been corrected.
first time watching one of your videos and it is very interesting. it's quite exciting with the characters you use and helps me out a lot. i missed out on the day that we did this in class and it is very helpful. You make it very clear and give examples, other videos expect you already know basic stuff like the shaded is recessive and the square is male. keep up the good word, subscribed.
The way you explain these topics is so simple and understandable that it blows my mind!! I really don't know how my teacher makes everything sound so complicated! You have really helped me for the past 2 years!! Keep it up!
