The OnePlus 5T is a great flagship worth considering. In this video, I'll be showing you what I believe to be the 5 best and 5 worst features found within this phone. Enjoy!

Thanks for the review. My issue is that I often get kicked out of the keyboard because I might have slightly touched the lower bar with the home button. It's weird to me because I have ndroids phones since 2009.
Does anyone else have similar issues?
I see that you have transparent Google search widget, is it from some custom application like zopper or is it the standard?
Also is there a way to make navigation bar transparent during an open application?
How do you turn the screen brightness to the max?! have you seen how uncomfortably bright this thing gets? it can give you a tan! I rarely ever go past the 35% mark on the brightens slider.
Also, there is a sort of jelly scrolling if you're using the phone at minimum brightness at night, at least my unit, but it's not bad and I'd rather have it than have a higher brightness level in bed!
5:28 the OnePlus X did have SD card support, it had a hybrid sim/SD card tray. But their SD card support was disastrously bad. Maybe it was improved with software updates but they showed they didn't have the competence for proper SD card support.
So basically you really have zero negatives on the phone... Personally I know so because I ditched my Pixel 2 XL and finally replaced my trusted Pixel XL by the amazing OnePlus5T... other than camera that is not as good as Pixel (yet more than acceptable), this phone has nothing negative about it... Waterproofing, give me a break...Phone design is boring and slippery...who does not put a case on it anyway? Are there any (especially the stupid all glass phones) that are not slippery these days? Quick updates on Android, well let me tell you that I have had all the Nexus devices as well as Pixel (I also have a Pixel 2) and was also on Android Beta program and these new versions always brought crap that rendered the phones too frustrating to use, so for me, I would rather have a perfected Android experience with the extra amazing tweaks added to Oxygen, than having the latest that offers a promise, but doesn't work half the time...
I was considering getting a 5T, but the lack of treble support was a deal-breaker. IMO it would be stupid to buy an android phone without treble right now. You're just asking to have support dropped as soon as they have treble phones (though OP may be an exception).
Yeah good job and a good phone... But .. Right now there are some great deals Gal s8 and the Pixel to name a few.. So as the One+ keeps increasing the price it becomes less attractive as it's missing some of the Features the other phones have SD card, waterproof , cameras , treble supports for fast software updates, widevine level 1 support to watch HD video using Netflix, Google movies and so on ....that's not the 5t isn't a good phone it's just as the price Creeks up it becomes more of a just pay a little bit more and get a full-featured flagship phone.
gangstaBJK ... There's a bunch of Christmas deals if you look...Pixel 2 128 gb is $649 on Verzion right now... What is the Op5t $549... Have you checked out Amazon on the Gal s8... This was just a quick look...a little effort and you can save... The iPhone x price is crazy ...
Umbro Khan but the s8 is shit. Samsung phones have tons of bloatware and software bugs. They lag and become unusable after time. I've had the note 4, note, and s7 and they all suck and I'll never ever buy a Samsung phone again
my problem with this phone is the price. it's not cheap anymore. if you buy the phone out right , I can see that 300 bucks difference justifying your purchase decision. but most people finance their phones. plus a lot of the flagships are on sale at the moment.
Something that should have been mentioned in the cons is that the 5T doesn't have Widevine Level 1 support, which is needed to watch content in HD from Netflix, Google Play Movies and a few others (YouTube isn't effected). Recently OnePlus has stated that they're in process of adding/fixing it, but it's not sure when. All previous OnePlus phones didn't have it either, but I feel that it should have been included by now.
Really, I don't know how all the reviews are glossing over that. Even though it's not much of a deal breaker for me, I'm a pretty basic eye, some people will (and have been) disappointed by that fact. BTW When and where did they state that?
Worst feature? By far, their customer support. Better hope you get a perfect phone because they don't want to do anything for you if it breaks.
Number 2? Their accessories. Seriously, if you do make the mistake of getting one, don't but their accessories. They are pure crap. I won't make this mistake again.
The customer service is absolute crap. In Australia, for the OnePlus 5, we cannot even call them, only live chats which are so unreliable and hard to get over the point. It was absolute shit but the phones are awesome
personally, the s8 was different, but not really practical. I don't own an s8, but I read that people get fingerprints on the camera all the time from the fingerprint sensor placement, and the colours were dull and unexciting. the op5t is a much more premium design imo
Bryan, From my own experience, i purchased both an S8+ unlocked from Samsung store (in Canada) and got the OnePlus 5T... I hated the bloatware on the Samsung and my S8+ was stuttering, i hated the curved edges and the fact that some apps just would not have access to sd card (syncme wireless for example). On the other hand, OnePlus5T was love at first sight. Light, fast, 128/8 gb, not expensive, Oxygen OS is better than pure Android due to small yet very useful extras, and the screen...do not let the specs fool you, the screen on the OnePlus 5t is "only" 1080P, but is is more vibrant and better than the S8+ (IMHO). The placement of the fingerprint sensor is perfect on the OnePlus 5T whereas on the S8+ it was next to camera and I just could not reach it. In my book, the OnePlus 5T is not only the less expensive device (which is an irrelevant factor in my phone choice, but could be for others) it is just the best overall phone in the market and it is just so easy and enjoyable to use. My upgrade impact from the Pixel XL to the OnePlus 5t was significant, so I can guarantee that in your S7 case, it is also warranted. Hope this helps!
and you must be deaf! because at 4:50 he mentions ' since it's been already released for the OP3, 3T and 5"
He said 'the OP hasn't provided the '5T' with any Oreo goodness' he was talking about the 5T and he did mention to expect it since it is already released on the list he mentioned
Apparently they changed it so that people can opt-in when setting up their phone (and also somewhere in the settings if they already have one), rather than being automatic, and that they won't be collecting phone numbers, WiFi information etc anymore. Still disappointing they did it without clear knowledge of it in the first place.
Mark Lee rumors are google and apple does that. Dunno who to trust. But you know what, as long as you have no intentions to be involved with politics, you're safe :D Once you decide to get involved, yup all these leaks are going to be used against you xD
I donno what to decide.
Oneplus 5T vs Honor V10 in January
Display and Emui premium feel os was still attractive feature of Honor phones vs mediocre display of Oneplus 3(Not 5t) and plain boring stock android. It is not that switch a launcher but it is when u get into clock phone settings page etc system apps and pages, feels so boring.
But attractive of Oneplus 5T i found is display is calibrated one of the best. Donno nothing about Honor V10
ben cherian I'm not familiar with Huawei but people use Samsung or Xiaomi phones for their *Hardware* not software.
Xiaomi's high quality in low price concept makes people purchase it not because they love miui (majority) there are few who likes ios like ui in their Android devices who appreciate miui for its looks.
Custom roms are so popular just because people feds up with stock UI wether it's vanilla Android, miui, emui, or any random UI.
Ivan Krušlin no dude am series. It's like when you use that os for some like 1 month it gets boring. I donno why . I even know some people using Samsung fones or Huawei fones or even Xiaomi fones for variety os experience.
Because it existed on previous OnePlus phones and there's really no reason to keep mentioning that this is the fastest way to charge a phone because it's just ridiculously fast no one comes close.
My 5T charges to 80% in 30 mins.
