China An-225: not only wants to resurrect the biggest plane, but think of a whole fleet. The An-225 was the largest aircraft built according to the records (talking-not military and civilians not dealt with a project), as recalled in Popular Science where echoes the intention of resurrecting the project are made, or more well renew it and give it more importance. The title of course it beats talking pulse measures 84 meters in length (from nose to tail) and 88 meters from wing to wing. A beast of 640 tons and six engines. Besides the record size, the An-225 also carries the heaviest load, 250 tons (253,820 kilograms) and the heaviest single element loaded generator 189,980 kilograms. Although we saw her last flight a few months ago as we remembered the beginning, the first was in 1988 a space aircraft carrying 105 tons. the idea that the Chinese have is to create a transport network with these aircraft so that they can be moved from one side to another very heavy loads or large elements (such as generator we were saying, machinery, construction elements, etc.). A project whose first phase consists in having a second An-225 in 2019 and later cover a second in which takes China technology engines, namely engines Progress D-18T (or Lotarev D-18T), designed to large aircraft (also of Ukrainian origin). The new An-225 is already something other than above, since the cargo door is on the back (and we saw that in the An-225 nose opened to introduce the charge, being something quite striking). At present construction it is around the 60-70%, so it is plausible goal three years (nearly two) view, with the intention that the first flights were already made in 2020. Here the military use is also contemplated, although not per se a military plane. AICC for the An-225 is a very suitable option for transporting military equipment, as can load helicopters, weapons and even tanks. He is under construction at the moment the second plane to transport large, long-term we will see if manage to create this fleet for large intercontinental transport. #ChinaAn225 #China #An225 #an225 #Antonov #kul #Antonov225 #avgeek #Perth #hyperlapse #Mriya #plane #MYairportsaircraft #KLIA #Abantech

Will have ZERO cargo capacity !! Half of Chinese products are defective, right from the factory, so with only 3 engines out of six working, it will be able to take off, ONLY if it was completely full of helium baloons

I wouldn't be surprised if the United States tries to convince their Ukrainian ally to not sell the an-225 to China

AECC and UAL signed a MOU to used the large AI-38 engine that has a thrust 68,000 lbs.for the C929 domestic flights. The AI-38 is derived from the D18T engine on the AN-225.Recently China tested the C929 with Wang Zhenguo turbo-scram jet engunes on the JF-12 wind tunnel (mach 5 to mach 9) for over the Ocean flights.

ANTONOV AN-225 MADE IN CHINA: THE BETTER!!!!!!!
Would love to see an ANTONOV production line in China, if, and only if they get a fair deal! I love to see a fleet of those giants!
AN225 and some AN124 earn a salary for workers of ANTONOV company since 1991 year (cargo carriage ).If China will start to build it , antonov`s workers will not have any salary((((

China manufacturing has to get it's nose into everything. They have killed most of the manufacturing in USA.

The AN-225 can be manufactured by 3-D printing and have a graphene-aluminum alloy fuselage, wings and tail.the structure could be made wjth graphene-titanium alloy. The D18T engine could be strengthen with Ti 45 Al8NI single crystal turbine blade or replaced with six combine cycle engines
explain your statement, pls.

An-225?!! That thing is too expensive even for Russians to build and china thinks they can make more than 10 of them?!! China should appreciate they have smaller cargo planes that can do their cargo delivery for them and besides it would take too long and too expensive to build a fleet of them

I dong sing so, this plane will being flyed successfulness.

It's Ukrainian not Russian

Shure it would be to expensive to build if Boeing built it with Boeing technology, but any country other than US could manage the build if the could get hold of the special aluminum beams used in the wings, which at the time of construction where 8 + meters longer than anything outside Ukraine, and still is beyond US capability at a price/strength feasible for the economy of the plane! Russia have never been involved in any Antonov bulids ever and are now in deep peril about not havin access to the Antonov built jet engines they rely on for their 5th gen fighter projects! Antonov & Ukraine is just so much better at special ceramics composite and metallurgy.

Unit price is inversely proportional to number of units made. There were 1.7* or so An-225's made in 80's so development costs are heavy. Somewhat comparable C-5 Galaxy saw production run of some 130 units. China is aiming to produce a buttload of An-225's under some weird local designation and they don't need to worry about development costs as those are already dealt with. They just start forging these planes and getting the cash. *1.7 planes as one was completed and second prototype was about 70% complete when USSR pulled the plug.

BEAUTIFUL!!! --- GO FOR IT CHINA!!! The An-225 is a wonderful aeroplane that deserves to be utilised more! Antonov also deserves to be involved in a project that reflects their creativity and expertise! Can't wait to see it happen!
