My S8 stopped working all of a sudden just after 8 months, that too with very minimal usage. I have never installed or played any games in it, the only Apps I used most are WhatsApp, Instagram, Gmail, Chrome Browser and Google Maps. It didn't have any physical damage. I have immersed it in water only once and that too for under a minute. The only issue I had been facing was, the ear speaker was very low for the last few weeks, it was too low that I had to use headphone or put on speaker.
On Mar 14, 2018, while I was just browsing Instagram, the App all of a sudden stopped working and automatically got closed.
And when I tried to open it again after a couple of minutes, the phone got switched off and that was it, it never switched back on after it. It used to happen earlier, the phone used to get hanged and would restart automatically, but this time it never restarted back. I tried all the options, tried to connect it to a charger, there was no sign of charging, the red led light was not on. Then I tried to hold the volume down and power button together for more than 30 secs, still, it was not turning on.
D Brand is a sticker, not phone protection. It's wrong to think a skin will keep your phone from cracking from a drop. Get a real case, or bumpers. Utomic makes bumpers that work awesome because I've dropped my phone so many times, and the bumpers just make it bounce. So great. But skins are just for looks. People should just say that, instead of implying they will help protect your phone from a drop. They might help keep it from a scratch....maybe.
The LG V30 Has That Black Bar Rubbish Issue As Well...I Believe It's Damned Fool YouTube Doing That Nonsense...I Most Likely Won't Use Bixby Either...Or Very Little...I Think Most Chaps Would Rather More Prefer The Lovely Female Voice Of The Google Assistant[Much Like Alexa On Amazon Fire Tables]...
Hate the finger print on the screen...My screen on the S7 failed,,,now I cannot connect to the PC to copy data as fingerprint will not work....Having the finger print on the back is great as if this happens again, I can still open the phone and move data etc.....
I have a new Galaxy s8 and I'm having problems when talking to someone on my speaker phone. The other person is saying that some of my words are missing...just blanked out. Also, after talking to several people on my speaker phone their voices sound muffled. Is there any way to fix these two problems when talking to people on speaker phone?
You're right about Bixby. It would be nice to be able to disable the button and the app for that matter. Every time I go to hit the volume I tend to hit the Bixby button irritating the living you know what out of me.
The s8 is crap. Bixby didn't work when the phone first came out. And now that Bixby is working it has these unwarranted pop up notifications on the Bixby home screen. Samsung lies more than Trump! The next phone that comes out with either Echo, or Watson technology will be revolutionary. And at this point SAMSUNG AIN'T IT. FLAT OUT!!! Great reporting dbrand, I concur with your video.
One thing bad I found out was you better keep a cover on it 'cause you can easily scratch the back of the phone. Also I dropped it one day from about 2 feet and cracked the back of it. I took my phone out of my Otter Box, and laid it down, I scuffed the back of it with out realized it. So be careful. It is a good phone. I kinda wish I waited so I could of got the Note8. But it is a good phone.
I have a oneplus 3T, but I'm considering buying this since a lot of US based network service companies are changing their frequency bandwidths and have rendered my current phone incompatible. I got the oneplus 2 months ago, fml, who can relate?
Great price on Amazon now! :)
I’ve had my s8 for a while now and everything was good until my phones touch screen started messing up. Super unresponsive even through resetting. It would lag all the time and then freeze up . So I traded it in. Really disappointed , I’ve had a Samsung since the 6 .

So stoked about Samsung having my thumbprint stored on the interwebz for the rest of forever, accessable to anyone determined to get it. And you best believe that when the NSA asks Samsung for those prints in bulk, they'll be more than happy to fork every single detail about you. Much like the vast majority of technology and telecom companies who store every detail of your life they can get. They pretty much know everything about you. Probly have the details of the last shit you took. We tell our phones everything, but I get the feeling that they can't keep a secret for shit.
I’ve heard people saying android phones such as the galaxy phones lag over time is this true? I really want to buy an android phone such as the s8 but this is the only thing holding me back. I’m an iOS user currently. My last device was a s5 and it did lag and have issues after a while. If this is the case and is it a easy fix?
