A stunning, curved display and excellent camera meet an awkward fingerprint reader and work-in-progress digital assistant.

Both the iPhone and Galaxy products are complete trash, they put their user below their data mining efforts forcing you to make accounts for things you could normally search anonymously online.
You idiots are willingly buying into being watched.
F**king morons .
Sent my S8+ back. I'm seeing to many post about issues. That and trying to get through to a customer service representative is nearly impossible. I've tried 8 times in the last two week, spending 45 mins and over on hold, and only got through once regarding a website order. No product is worth it, if customer service sucks!
I love this real-life review, it is very realistic, compared to reviewing a device at a desk.
I understand the drop anxiety - the phone is so beautiful that I'd be scared about dropping it too. Great phone!
i ordered my galaxy s8 plus wednesday, but apparantly as so many people are ordering them i will receive it some time next week... bummer !
i will upload a video on my channel today about me ordering my galaxy s8 plus, so i hope y'all will watch ;)
This review is way too basic! No talk about the Bluetooth 5.0, LTEU giving up to 5 Gigahertz data and then Gigabit LTE and so on. There are way too many things missed out. iPhone users shouldn't review Samsung devices like their dumb iPhone!
The fingerprint scanner is a deal breaker for me. When I'm in a meeting and want to see a notification on the S7 Edge I can push the home button and turn on the screen & unlock in one motion. With the S8 I will have to pick up. Nitpicky but a huge flaw for me
I dont have an s8 i just tried it in the store so correct me if im wrong. The force touch home button is useless because it still acts on a tap i mean it doesnt really require the pressure so why put force touch
Jedd Simon I thought the same thing but I tried another one and it didn't have the capacitive tap I had to actually press it like the force touch button on the iPhone 7 so it might just be button preferences or something idk.
My 8+ came in the mail yesterday. Slightly taller than my Note 4 and narrower. Way way faster. Feels great in the hand with that front and rear edge curve. Thanks for the tip on quick loading the camera. With everyone hating on about the fingerprint placement, I think we're all going to be very aware when we're using it.
I have a Note 5. I like Samsung phones to an extent. I hate and despise Samsung Pay. Samsung Pay is just more bloatware that constantly annoys you to sign up. Why does everyone want a foreign company to control their finance accounts? I don't get that. Also on the S8, I am annoyed by the downgrade of the camera from 16 mega pixels to 12 mega pixels. Also that curved screen is so annoying too. Seems like Samsung purposely wants to use crappy gimmicks to lure people. I may move away from them on my next phone unless they change their ways quickly.
So the essentially the G6 is just as good but scored lower because it doesn't look as pretty and didn't take enough chances that don't work out of the box!
And please save your bootloop references, just as i will save my "burn baby burn battery" reference.
Samsung should natively support remapping the BixBy button. Do they really think people who wanted to remap it to something else (because they did not want to use BixBy) would use BixBy just because they blocked remapping? That button would just be unused.
