*Minor correction, we swapped the screen sizes in our intro chart. Apologies for the confusion.
Two BIG phones and a pair of dual camera sensors. It's time for a showdown between the iPhone 7 Plus and the Huawei Mate 9!

I've had the V20 as my daily driver for about 3 months now, and while I agree with a lot of what you said Juan, I hate it's video camera for filming fast moving objects (like my daughter figure skating). It constantly loses focus and the result is unusable. With that speed I also don't have time to make dynamic changed in manual mode. in addition, I've found that a very large number of apps crash frequently on the V20. My S7 Edge kills on the video front, staying focused on my daughter the entire performance. Apps don't crash on it. But it's slow as molasses. I'm now trying out the Mate 9 as of yesterday. So far I'm very impressed, but tomorrow's competition will tell me the answer here.
On a separate note, both UIs are really crappy compared to stock Android, or thin skins like the OP3T, HTC, etc. Using Nova on both leads to much the same experience. It's good enough. Sometimes I have to Google how to get to a setting or two on the Mate.
Dammit I like them both and right now I have iPhone 6 and it's time to upgrade. If only android got apps as fast as iPhone. I need help deciding those that have one or the other or both let me know. I want feed back from some one who has the phone and can hit ALL aspects of it. Or if y'all know a YouTube link of somebody who has the mate in real time usage
I just bought the mate 9 yesterday at best buy for 599 plus 53 dollar tax. Total was 653. So far so good, I like the camera, screen size is a plus. And for some reason the phone is super fast, i run at least 30 apps in the background and it doesn't slow the phone down at all. fingerprint sensor is the fastest on any smartphone right now, im going to be making my own video review on the mate 9 soon. Don't waste 850 dollars on the iPhone plus, the mate 9 is a better option, you're getting more for your money
Dont think you know what your doing. I stopped the video after first 10 seconds and moved on. First mistake the screen size on mate 9 is 5.9 not 5.5 so I wonder what else you got wrong in the so called Dual ? Very sloppy.
I am not an apple fan boy, actually I used to use blackberry and now LG, however all the famous websites and youtubers are producing these comparisons to ended with I will go to the cheaper phone. they did the same with nokia before and blackberry and now they are doing that with Apple. all for the benefits of Google and the brand who paid more. you are simply putting people home and make them jobless only to fill your pocket. this is totally unethical.
I have had both phones for a few weeks and have decided to keep the Mate 9. I personally find the battery life and super fast recharge puts the Mate 9 way ahead. I also love the larger screen with less Bessel on the Mate 9. The fact is Huawei has matured and surpassed all other Android phones in function and price. Than you Huawei...😀
