🇺🇸 🇰🇷 Pompeo: No sanctions relief for N Korea until denuclearisation | Al Jazeera English

30 ratings | 5168 views
The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says sanctions on North Korea will not be eased until it can demonstrate what he calls "full denuclearisation", but media reports from Pyongyang suggest a different timeline. Pompeo has been in South Korea briefing regional Asian leaders on this week's summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. There is also concern over Trump's pledge to end joint military exercises along the Korean Peninsula. Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports from Seoul. - Subscribe to our channel: http://aje.io/AJSubscribe - Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AJEnglish - Find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/aljazeera - Check our website: https://www.aljazeera.com/

I rely on Al Jazeera to provide honest, unbiased journalism, that allows me to stay informed as to what is really taking place in the world. Our media is much too bias to ever allow anyone to form an honest opinion about events that are taking place both within our country and around the world.

While Al Jazeera does have some honest unbiased stories... but to claim Al Jazeera which is sponsored by Qatar as unbiased... well, that's just being naive!!!
©™ ALX ⚖ Observations ✍✍ The US is less in control than they think. Xi Jinping wants US troops and THAAD missle systems out of South Korea and Kim owes China. Moon Jae-in can cut a deal and the US will have to go along. Sanctions didn't stop Kim from development of the BOMB deliverable nuclear weapons what good are they?

NK will regret it

That's sounds more like a threat rather than friendly.
Covert Puppytwo (8 days ago)
Not a threat... it's reality. Historically, this wouldn't be the first time North Korea called for peace and denuclearisation without actually following through. Trust now must be earned, not given.

do you have a window near your cube?

Of course it makes sense for the US to invade NK, but Kim doesn't have to take it personally. Make America And Israel Great Again 2018!
Covert Puppytwo (8 days ago)
North Korean leaders have already proven that their starving people is not worth committing suicide!!!
viva padrepio (8 days ago)
NK would attack before starving to death. You would too. :-P
Covert Puppytwo (8 days ago)
"it makes sense for the US to invade NK" - no it doesn't! the better alternative is to make them starve and collapse their economy if they don't give up their nukes!

The only thing waiting for NK after denuclearization is invasion

Did you forget that China exists?

There isn't that much to be gained from invading NK. US will have to spend more than it gains. If Trump gets into a war, it'll be with Iran.
Megumaximus (8 days ago)
Anwar Taher Numan Cant invade NoKo if there are no American Military in South Korean base
It will happen sooner. We need their resources underground anyway.
