This fella holds his phone the right away for photography. That's good to see. So many people only use portrait mode for everything. Everyone's a photographer these days, so they say, but most people actually have no idea.
I'm buying one in a couple days, my first high end phone. I've been using mid-range for a couple years, but I keep having problems with them and they never last more than six months for me. I don't need the latest and greatest specs, but I want something that'll hold up, and I'm a big fan of the stereo speakers. I actually recently got a pair of Bluetooth headphones to see if I can adjust to no headphone jack, and honestly I think I can, these headphones sound better than any pair I've had before. I'm all about stock Android, my current phone runs very close to it, but there are very few updates, and I'm not expecting any more (it's a ZTE), and I'm on prepaid, and switching just before the next payment is due. I don't feel the need to wait until October, mainly because I don't think this phone will last that long.
Google has no excuse for the screen in P3XL, or P3. They have to use a proper Samsung OLED panel, since LG's mobile size OLED tech is still far inferior. I really wanted the P2XL due to larger form factor, battery life etc, but went back to pixel 2 (after returning 2XL) because of the LG screen (blue tint/poor ability to display certain colors etc.) Also, YES, keep stereo speakers on P3/P3XL
Hey MKBHD, I love the Pixel 2XL (However, I cannot afford to own it lol). Btw, can you clarify the issue of Instagram Stories on many flagship phone like Google Pixel. The camera is great no comment on that, but if it on Instagram story, it sucks. Can you clarify that and can you give one or two words to Instagram to not be so bias towards android flagship phone hahah. Cheers!
i tried the pixel, and traded it in after a week. I don't know how you guys look at that screen and are okay with it. I don't know if the black crushing is an issue on all their phones, but even if not, the colour is still a deal breaker
I put P on my 2 XL. I had the new style navigation on the bottom until I restarted the phone. Now I've got the older navigation buttons (arrow, circle, square). Any ideas on how to get the new style navigation controls back? Thanks, internet.
I've no.problem with screen I do miss wireless charging so hope the pixel 3 has it the camera is great I have a iPhone 8 plus too but the pixel camera is better one problem I have with the pixel is finding a screen protector all the ones I've used so far have been rubbish
Welcome to the world of iOS design, Android/Google fanatics. I remember you guys lauded Material Design to be this earth-shattering ultimate design that made the experience of Android beautiful and seamless and now Google themselves are moving away from that and fully adopting the changes Apple is making with iOS' all display, notch design language and easy swiping and multi-tasking gestures. The differences in 'features' and design has become so close that everything going forward will be all about brand and marketing. If you know anything about the direction Google is going, it shouldn't be surprising. Innovation at Google is all but dead with Android as an OS. Now they are going all-in with AI.
Pixel 3 XL should stay away from the notch, have slimmer and symmetrical bezels, retain the stereo speakers, use Samsung OLED screen, have more premium build quality and just add a 2nd lens to the camera because that alone would take this camera to the top without any other improvements.
