Samsung Galaxy S8 Revisited! Hello all and welcome to this revisited video of the Samsung Galaxy S8, this phone is literally like 50% discounted vs when it was new, but is it still worth it with the compelling mid range options on the market? Let's find out, and if your a Galaxy S8 user share your experiences and thoughts as well!
P.S This S8 is on Oreo.
Bought my 1st iphone ever (iphone 8) , sold it a week later. Most booring phone I ever used, no customisation at all. Bought a Galaxy S8, best phone I ever used, and when I buy a new phone , it will be defenetly a newer Samsung.
It's still an awesome phone, the form factor is amazing. As a former Nexus/Pixel owner, I don't miss stock android at all but I DO miss the smoothness of the UI. The S9 also suffers from the same problem, random frame skipping/stutter all over the place. Like how they "fixed" the frame drops when entering the app drawer but it's only 50% better, still not smooth. Since the Oreo update unlocking the phone often results in skipped frames as well but it seems completely random.
Hey Nick! Just got this phone about 2 weeks ago. I came from the iPhone 6s plus. I been having my android itch for a while and been commenting on that. But now finally did it. Granted the 9 has been out but I got a hell of a deal on the 8. What I noticed is my iPhone 6s plus had much better battery life. Video playback on the GS8 lasts much longer but every day use such as games and social media it's not that great. After playing 20 min of games and checking/posting on fb and I'm @84%. Now the camera to me is much better with still photos. I don't like the video better than the iPhone though. My old iPhone was cinematic. But love the feel, weight, every day use...
When I installed a theme I did notice my messages app started messing up or acting funny. Pics wouldn't sent, texting was laggy but going back to stock theme has fixed that. But thanks for the video.
I got an S8 and i hate it .I can admit that Samsung have the best design looking phones but it's performance is not that good for a flagship smartphone. Sometimes its laggy, the apps are not optimized and images in snapchat and instagram look like shit,so i went back to my Iphone 8 and it has biiiig differences in performance and apps experience.Big differences in the battery too,the battery on my iphone is way better than the s8,and both of them are brand new..
I still like my S8+ but the battery life is absolute hogshit. I've tried almost everything to get it to last me a day but there's just nothing I can do. And the Always on Display will just drain it even faster. Can't complain too much, I paid $485 for a used S8+ in Dec. of last year so I saved a good deal of money. It's just frustrating that if I use Samsung's extra features I'm punished pretty harshly for it when it comes to battery life.
S8 is an amazing phone! One of those that've changed everything. I still use it and ever since getting the Oreo 3 months ago, I'm even more satisfied with its performance...even with battery life, which was totally unexpected!
I've had it for 8 months now and will definitely keep on using it until the S10 comes out.
The GALAXY S7 is the perfect compromise...It has a physical HOME button, NO BIXBY button, is water proof, easy to use with one hand (with a CASE on it) and the screen is FLAT...Just upgraded to the S7 from the Galaxy S4 for $325...Super DUPER happy...
Tip: When you make these kind of videos, please consider also presenting some features you discovered over the year and they were really helpful.
For example, on my S8 I noticed that, if you really organize your edge bar well, it will become very easy to dial frequent contacts, capture an area of the screen and create animations, pin to screen, etc and have frequent apps ( considering you want to keep your homescreen as minimal as possible ). Overall it makes the experience a lot better, but many people don't use this because they don't organize it well and it's not that easy to become used to it when it's a mess. No more than 3 pages of edge display and it will be great.
Great video. It is definitely still worth purchasing. I myself, am currently awaiting the S10 release, but until then, if I need a new phone, I'll stick to getting another S8 through the insurance coverage (my current device).
Watching on the lg stylo 2 boost mobile and i think this phone, the s9/s9+ and the s7/note 8 are amazing phones to have right now. I like my stylo 2, but im getting tired of the same stock emojis and ready for a new update. I really love the galaxy s6's display too they still are pretty nice
Hey man..i love that phone but i didnt find any screen protector for it..i applied the nano liquid and i dont even know its there i feel like its a scam however do i need to even put a screen protector for this phone ? I dont find a suitable one
