I like the note 8/ I think it was basically the best phone, but I feel like almost all new phones aren't worth buying right now, mainly, because of the aspect ratio/ when you watch a video you get black bars and you dont get to utilize the entire screen, so basically your loosing some screen, the last good phone made by samsung was the note 4, it was an upgrade from the note 3, the note 5 is a downgrade, in some departments compared to the note 4. Honestly if I was gonna pick the best phone on the market I would have to go with the Razor phone, it has a normal aspect ratio / resolution as well, it has a 2560x1440p display 120HZ/refresh rate and an amazing 4,000 MAH battery, which is unheard of and dual cameras, anyway its the best phone on the market, there's one other phone that may also be a runner up to it and that's the Sony xperia premium phone , its nice, but its aspect ratio is also not normal, although sony beat samsung to the market with a 4k phone/ sony was the first company/ maybe only company to have a 4k phone on the market. Anyway the Razor phone is definitely the best phone on the market. Also the two best budget phones right now are the LG stylo 2 and LG Stylo 3.
Well, it really is very, very hard to make a list because there are different needs. For me, the best would be Mate 10 Pro because camera really does what I need, the Desktop thing is awesome and useful, those RAM are doing the job and maybe most important the NPU and AI. In my opinion it crushes oneplus 5t and Iphone X because it's customisable. Note 8 is very very good but if you do bot need the stylus then it isn't worth the money. Although it has amazing specs, it's not perfect for some of the people out there. I encourage Huawei to keep going because they started doing a GREAT job!
LG v30. I love how LG made a big progress. It is almost perfect. Except for couple of things. They warry for everyvone and it is matter of how you like it.
What things it lacks and would like them to think about it and fix it.
-Lacks Removable Battery(The V series was famous for it.). Don't get me wrong I'm impressed with V30 battery but for me it is one Huge letdown. It could of been V30 monster optimization + Added that swapable battery it would be x2 times better.
-Lacks IR Blaster(it is not dealbreaker but it is inexpensive but usefull feature.
-Lacks Front Facing Speakers. it would be just big "+" on already good v30. I think we should in 2018 move from Mono to Stereo in what way it does not matter. But the best is front facing.
S8 because :
-Many months now it costs below 600€ = value for money
-Ιt offers an amazing camera without gimmicks like bokeh effect
-It offers an amazing amoled screen in all aspects
-It has a beautiful design
-it can be handled with one hand
-it's fast ( not the fastest but very fast for everyday use)
I PLAY AROUND WITH MY GS8+ EVERY SINGLE MINUTE AND THIS IS WHAT I FIGURED OUT. THE GS8 SCREEN QUALITY IS EQUIVALENT TO THE IPHONE X AS LONG AS YOU DON'T GO OVER THE MAX RESOLUTION CAPABILITIES OF YOUR PHONE WHEN IT COMES TO WALLPAPERS. FOR EXAMPLE YOU PUT ON A 4K RESO WALLPAPER AND IT'S MAX RESO IS 2990. WHEN YOU DO THIS IT BECOMES UNBALANCED WITH THE WALLPAPER TO APP RATIO. PRETTY MUCH THE APPS LOSE PIXELS SO IT DOESN'T LOOK AS SHARP AND CLEAN. BUT, WHEN YOU PUT IN 2990 OR 2560 RESOS WALLPAPER EVERYTHING IS BALANCED AND THE APPS LOOK SHARP AND SMOOTH.
The flagship killerrr op5t.It has better ram management and it has a beast performance better than other flagship phones because op5t beat all other phones in speed test and it is the real beast in 2nd round no other phone can defeat it. And it has amazing build quality and it's price was half of the other flagship phones. The killer op5t
For me it'll be the Note 8. High levels of creativity and innovation all in one device. I got mine back on November 30th in the Deep Sea Blue color. That color is more appealing than the other three available colors.
So if the xl would have been "the dream" if it wasn't for its screen problem, then doesn't that mean the pixel 2 is the dream phone if it doesn't have the screen problem? I'm confused right now cause the way he was talking about the pixel 2 xl is that it would have been an undisputed winner if it wasn't for its screen, so why isn't a slightly smaller version of it not getting the same praise. I'm not biased I'm just confused , any explanation would be nice thanks
I'd of put the regular Pixel 2 before the XL because of the lack of display issues which is a deal breaker for me. (I have the smaller Pixel 2 and its my new daily driver due to its amazing camera and snappy pure os.)
Your opinion may very well vary and may be the best use case for you.. but imo:
1. Pixel 2XL
2. iPhone 8+
3. Note 8
4. iPhone X
5. Pixel 2
6. LG V30
8. OnePlus 5t
Haven't tried the Huawei or HTC phones dis year so can't comment. Pixels definitely need to up their QC next year, coz otherwise like you said it's a dream phone!
