Optical sensor was considered from the human eye autonomy . Finger print sensor picks up heat . Glass will not pick up finger print if small debris is interrupting the skin. The iPhone is picking up the finger print for the pressure of the built in bottom crushes the debris picking up the finger print. Heat will always penetrate the glass screen regardless. All flat surfaces will pick up heat for sensor purposes . Buttons usually work with pressure . Most people will most likely have to live and learn , so thanks for the demonstration. Good work. 🌻
Now that I've had the S9 for a few months, I think I prefer the sensor on the back. Even if they get under-display sensors working, I hope they keep one on the back as well. It's really nice to have my finger on the sensor as I grab the phone in my pocket and have it already unlocked by the time the screen is front of my face.
this only show how much fake is the security of that fingerprint sensor. You know, it need to read microscopic lines, if ANY fingerprint sensor can get the fingerprint fast and without any problems in any situation even the worst so is not much secure. Instead if the sensor give error when the surface is ruined so is more secure because it can't read the fingerprint.
