The much cheaper Nexus 6p is still kicking butt in 2017. Front facing camera 8 mp and back camera 12 mp along with amazing display of 5.7 inches at 1440/2560 resolution with 518 for the PPI patrol. And dont forget the front facing loud speakers that is also rare to find these days along with a 3450 battery to back it. It's running the Latest Andriod O since it's a dying Google family member which is good until September. And since the Pixel is so ridiculously high in price then it will make way for the Nexus 6p to take your attention pretty fast, that's if of course you want a pure Android experience still.
Google should have kept with the Nexus 6P designed by Huawei it looked great and the Stereo Front Facing Speakers!
Pixel is overpriced for what you get no killer features no MicroSD card slot and Unlimited Storage is for Pixel Pictures and Images only, and no IP68 rating, huge cost to upgrade internal storage when it is so expensive to being with and no 64gig option WTF Google!
I can forgive the Nexus range for not having MicroSD storage and not having IP68 rating for the cost you pay for such a good phone but their is no excuse for the Pixel lacking many common & expected features for the price that they ask for!
hi I'd like to know which phone is the best to pick out of:
which out of the three has best camera performance and best to use for about 3 years. price doesn't matter.
thanks in advance
I no 1st nexus 6 running a custom rom with 7.1 with pixel Launcher
The speed difference is speed is marginal
why should I upgrade ? for 1 more gig of Ram & Smaller Screen
With almost same specs
Wow a finger print reader a Lock code works just as well.
Pixel XL not that much faster
There also ways to get Google assist on my phone already
for 900 Dollars CND I'll keep the nexus till 2018
Then I look at my option for a upgrade
Pixel phones are a rip off no thanks
im good w my 6P for at least another year tbh, phones still very good and fast and by that time there may be some better "Pixel 1.5" nearly ready for release. not only that, 6P and 5x get 7.1 betas now.
I currently have a Nexus 6P, which is a great phone, I won't be upgrading to the Pixel XL, screen size is too small, & still no support for micro SD card, i'd like google to do something different from other OEM's, to showcase the Android platform, I think the pixel phones are to similar to other handsets that are out there, in fact I think they look a bit 'bland', with no real stand-out features,
Honest answer.. I just bought the Nexus for the price difference.. I loaded Google assistant, Pixel Launcher, and Google Camera. Also loaded Android 7.1.1 on the Nexus 6P. Is there really any thing worth the price difference? Nexus 6P has forward facing speakers.
I was excited about this phone but i hate that back design...
like... what were they thinking?
couldn't they put a coat of some material on the back that lets radio waves pass through and look like one piece?
I'll keep my MUCH better looking Matte Gold 64GB Nexus 6P for a few more years. It also cost $500 brand new from Best buy. Not like the XL which will be $800 after tax for the 32GB or over $900 for the 128GB. 6P has stereo front speakers, XL has 1 bottom one under that horrendously large chin. Google is now the Apple of Android. Give less, charge more.
The Pixel looks like a downgrade from the Nexus 6P. Looks like Google is trying to appeal to the iphone crowd.
While it's not a terrible phone, it also doesn't look like a great phone either. It doesn't have a lot of the featuers a lot of other flagships have, such as IP68, wireless charging, or expandable storage, yet, still has the same premium pricetag as a Galaxy S7. Also, it doesn't have the same appeal the Nexus line had as an affordable power user phone.
I'm a little disappointed where google is going with this. First, they killed of Project Ara. I thought maybe Nexus would be replaced by Ara, (which personally, I wouldn't have complained if they actually went through with it. Who wouldn't want an upgradeable phone?). Instead, we get this bastard of a device.
lol everyone us roasting in this. I currently have the note 7 got it from launch and I've been looking for a replacement. I actually pre ordered the Google pixel xl to replace my note7 but people on here are saying the phone is not worth it.
