Since I've actually bought a keyone I'm pretty sure I won't buy a BB device ever again. Most of the added software in not really useful, word prediction sucks because G-board is miles better and you can't make a phone use G-board prediction on physical keyboard, also BB keyboard doesn't really support multilingual input. Phone crashes apps every so often, camera is mediocre, and keyboard is a gimmick really because after all you still type faster on on-screen keyboard. Phone is built well but paint strips off the edges easily. Only really good things about that phone are unlock sensor and battery life which are stellar. Screen is good for typing emails and that's really all that it's good for, YT videos are shrunk, you can't see the whole picture in let's say Instagram storry and so on.
Its 2018 and we still have only two major options, android or iOS.. I mean.. thinking about that makes me really uncomfortable and anxious. I want a legit third option because both apple and android suck dicc
IS THE BLACKBERRY MOTION A BETTER PHONE THAN THE NOTE 8?
I'M OPEN FOR SUGGESTIONS
I LOVE THE NOTE 8, BUT IS THERE A WAY THAT YOU CAN COMPARE THE NOTE 8 AGAINST THE BLACKBERRY MOTION, BY DOING A SHORT VIDEO.

good review thanks - it's a hard one to decide.
things I like :
• loooong battery - love this!
• efficient screen to help with the battery life : good to balance the screen looks with power efficiency
• near stock android : I HATE almost all skin/changes manufacturers make, especially Samsung
• security enhancements
• decent-ish price - is it good enough?
• sdcard - always something I want
not so much :
• middling processor - probably the most questionable part here, just one step up and it'd be a shoe-in
• camera - it's clearly not a high priority for Blackberry/TCL but not a deal breaker, I have a real camera anyway
There's competition in this range
I had a chance to play with a Motion on the Unstoppable tour and it’s awesome! Gorgeous screen - nice and bright - great camera and cool features like the dock on the side to quickly access apps you choose. The ‘home’ button also can swipe up so it’s a little lily the old BlackBerry trackpad. I’m looking forward to getting mine.
whats up with the big chin bezel? i mean.. they could make it a little bit shorter..making it a taller phone results to a bigger bezel..i mean it has such an exaggerated bottom bezel! for sure they are just recycling the body mold of the keyone..
Picked up the Motion mainly for the Blackberry add on's (keyboard and Hub specifically) as well as the battery life. Doing what I need it to do so far. I realize it isn't the highest spec'd device, but I'm using it for communication mainly so the Hub and Blackberry VKB were my main selling points (plus it was free on contract!)
Cool and objective video... and you are right: without the outstanding keyboard (although the virtual BB-keyboard is the best keypad ever in comparison to other full-touch devices!) the BB Motion is just another mid-range Android phone with an unsuitable price... Big disadvantage: ist looks retro "2016" with its large bezel hardware buttons! And Oreo should be preinstalled! But its BlackBerry (better: TCL) and they promise a lot if the day is long enough...
I suppose if you have a company with 25+ employee, getting a 600$+tx off contract at Bell Canada, it's a good deal: the Snap 625 is a cheap and efficient cpu and does everything right for productivity. 4 go of ram is more than enough and 32 go with expansion is alright. And ip67, a headphone jack and a 4000mAh battery... Basically it's a no-brainer secure cellphone for work. It has it's users and market, so it's hard to compare it to an Note 8 or 1k cellphone. But for a 600 Cad$ it's fucking hard to beat...
The specs are outdated for the price. They should have use the 652 processor and at least 64gb of rom. This is not 2005-2011 where they can just drop those high prices for weak devices. I can get a LG v20 with 4 times the specs for less the price. I don't think that phone will sell much.
