@SuperSaf TV: Can you do a camera shootout with those two against each other? I feel like the Snapdragon probably uses a Sony IMX sensor whereas the Exynos uses a Samsung Isocell. They also have different image processing due to different SoCs. I would really appreciate it! Maybe you can also compare the stock camera to a modded GCam for S9/S9+?
Yeah, I am still waiting for a real video battery drain test between the two versions! But no youtuber has yet to make a real side by side comparison video. There have been rumors that there is a HUGE difference between the exynos and the snapdragon versions. And I am still waiting for a video just to see how "big" of a difference it is before I buy my s9. I like the unlocked bootloader of the exynos, but if I am having a 30% battery difference or something for that, I think I'll just get the snapdragon.
We also don't know how future OTA updates might fix the issue too. But at the same time, I don't want to wait like a year just to get the fix either.
I'm gonna say that exonys has been nerfed.
That doesn't mean snapdragon is bad or something.
But the numbers tell that exonys is way better than snapdragon.
Also, still don't know why Samsung go with 6 gigs of ram :/ ??
This is the most retarded way to test the speed on phones. You simply can’t press both screens exactly at the same time, therefore this bullshit test makes it look like the one is faster than the other.
Exynos9 is better than Snappie,I have had both previously but in all of its entirety Exynos9 completes the ability to warp and function as it should real power and connectivity,Exynos9 there is no substitute.
If you want to test the performance of your new rig, do you just open some games and close them immediately or do you actually play those games and see how smooth it runs?
Thats what you should do with these phones too!
CPU and GPU performance have nearly to nothing to do with the loading speed of your apps!
Aside from GeekBench (pure processor benchmark) and Antutu (Processor and GPU mix benchmark) you tested mainly GPU when you loaded games/animations etc, and RAM. I would like to see some more CPU intensive tests to see how they stack up. Like a video render for instance. Yes, you wouldnt use your phone to video render in real life, but the CPU is involved in a lot of situations and while both will do fine now, in the long term you want to have the better one.
Also, something cool would be a comparison of the battery life of both chipset variants.
Hello Supersaf TV,
Hope you fine...?? I am Naganath From India. I used to watch all your tech videos in youtube and simple I say that I am your fan. The way you take mobile phones to review especially Photos & Videos. I am very much glad and hope you are too.
Now the Problem is with Samsung S9+ is "Intelligent Unlock". I have many times experienced it.
Step 1. enable Intelligent Unlock in S9+
Step 2. use for many times to unlock you phone.
Step 3. Now LOCK S9+ and unlock ur Phone.
step 4. Immediately lock the phone by pressing power button. Right after few minute second try to unlock the S9+ facing same where else not on or against you face.. S9+ will UNLOCK without ur face or iris.
importantly I have enabled immediately lock the phone after pressing the power button.
My request to you is kindly check this out and try to post video regarding S9+ intelligent Unlock. I am expecting your action please...
Seems like the Exynos is more raw power but the Snapdragon is more optimized for gaming.
Honestly for data crunching and video work, I use my PC. The Snapdragon feels more useful as more users play games on their mobiles more than ever.
Hey Safwan, I would like your advice , I'm going to buy the S9+ but in my region we got the Exynos version, and the problem is that I do a lot of reading , and from what I red sd 845 is better . So, should I wait another phone with the sd 845 ,or not.
Note:I'm a very heavy user.
Thank you for your time.
SD processors sucks after a long time of usage, it loses it's performance speed. Idk why but that's what I feel... I have an s7 edge sd and exynos, the SD performs almost better than exynos when they were new but now it sucks so bad
