The Google Pixel Buds are a cool concept but the execution feels a little underwhelming. For me, the fit isn't ideal and the lack of a fully wireless design puts them a step behind other options. The translation potential is HUGE but at the moment functionality is almost identical to the Google translate app on it's own. Hopefully generation 2 addresses some of these shortcomings to help justify the price tag. At this point I wouldn't recommend buying the Google Pixel Buds.

Glenn John in what way are apple first in everything? They are not first in anything. All of the things you listed there (apart from apple TV, which is just a knock off of many other better products) they did not create first.
Why would you want wireless earbuds? That's stupid, you could looked them so easily and you can't put them anywhere except for shipping them in your pocket. You can at least put these around your neck..
I feel like to do a translate test in Mandarin is a little unfair being it’s the most difficult language in the world.... how many people will be using that language. Very few. Maybe Spanish is a more fair review. But it’s silly to think you need to buy the buds to test google translate. It’s not a separate software. It uses the app- google translate. Anyone can test google translate on the google translate app, without headphones, and they would know if you over complicate sentences then it doesn’t work well. You should treat it more like a person who knows a little English and you have to talk simple for them. People do it all the time in day to day life. But that’s besides the point, because basically you’re saying the headphones need to get a 2.0 for an apps software to get better..... the app will get better once the app updates. Plain and simple. I also find it curious you seemed to focus on a thing such as translate but not compare it to the translate functionality in the apple AirPods which you didn’t fail to bring up several times. You did fail to bring up that the google Assistant is great as an assistant, and someone like me who doesn’t want to pull out my phone and don’t have a smart watch would love to send texts make calls and set events while I’m at work which is outside. But thanks for reviewing the sound, good info
They aren't fully wireless because that little wire that goes behind you neck makes any wireless earbud sound 10x better. That is true for all wireless earbud, and also why "truely" wireless earbud are so much more expensive for the same sound quality
Dude are you actually from toronto!! I'm from Kitchener and would love to come see your setup! I seriously enjoy your videos and can't exactly figure out why. I mean you make great footage, the tunes are epic, and actually have humor. but your attention to details and specs are what I love. I just ordered the pixel 2xl because of your videos and can't wait for it to arrive!! Keep this up dude your killing it.
How can you write "DON´T Buy The Google Pixel Buds" when in the video you then say that they actually sound better than the airpods. I mean the Pixel Buds are earphones! Sound quality is literally the most important thing about them.
Oh and totally wireless is soooo impractical! When you use earphones like the Pixel Buds and have to talk to someone or something like that (or cross the street etc.) you can just remove one or both of them and let them hang around your neck with the totally wireless option you then have one or two earphones in your hand with no where to put them.
Also when using the translation feature you are only testing google translate not the earphones so really there is no point in evaluating the earphones based on this feature.
I actually do appreciate the wire between the buds because I'm more secure of not losing them, like, if one drops off my ear the wire will make it hang on my shoulder. And even if that's not very probable, I still would feel ok with it..
Garbage. The problem with these shitty products is that they're rushed for the sake of saying "we have it too!". When Apple releases something, it's been in the works for years. When a competitor releases their version, it's a rushed piece of shit that only exists because of Apple

I like the idea of that cable... Idk, i think it's comfortable if you wanna talk with other person and just hang them on your neck or just makes it harder to lose 'em, cuz they seem bigger that way, and you don't just drop one of them
I love how he tries to give a review on audio device, when he doesn't even listen to music that could challange the device. You gotta listen to bass songs, rock, high tones, song with a lot of human voice etc.
Despite some minor problems ( upcoming update fixing them) I am pretty much happy with them. And call me weirdo but I love the design and how they look. On the other hand I don't like the asthethics of Airpods at all...so yes, I am a weirdo 😆
With the wire I feel safe that I won't loose one of them, sound is surprisingly good. Initially I would put them in at some wrong angle and my ears would hurt after about 2 hours, later I just found a good position. I wish the wires could be fixed in position better, because they do slip through the earphones from time to time. But generally I love those buds even in their v1.0
