Here's a list of some of my favourite Ultrabooks! Which one is yours? Also, let me know if you want a separate review on any of these!

Matthew Moniz Samsung Notebook 9 15inch should be on that list.
Gerson Jonathan Peña (1 year ago)
can you edit on the stealth?
Maxime Zanos (1 year ago)
What about the Surface Laptop ? If we put the price aside, that's a great laptop. Runner Up : Lenovo Yoga 901 or XPS 13.

Where are two favorites Samsung 9 and LG gram?
Dancing Knight (8 months ago)
I really want to get the razerblade stealth 2017 but idk if i will use it to its full potential, i have a good gaming pc at home that i will be using all the time at home but i also need a good laptop for school as a comp sci student

I'm an electrical engineering major using programs such as LabVIEW, also streaming games. I prefer to use my Mac but I'm considering either the Razer or either Dell XPS. Not sure which is better? I prefer for it to not be too heavy either
kael'thas sunstrider (9 months ago)
googling Asus and how gives me a scary amount of people having problems D:
Jacob Pagaduan (9 months ago)
Isn't it "chas-ee" or something not chas(is)
Alex Garcia (9 months ago)
How do you not have more subs man
Alex Garcia (9 months ago)
Matthew Moniz keep pushing! I sub to some of the other chans and I find your breakdowns more helpful. This video really helped me decide which ultra book to get thank you !
Matthew Moniz (9 months ago)
Thanks man! I'll have more eventually = ) Just glad to have an awesome community watching my videos.
Will Mollard (9 months ago)
Nice video I can see your issue with the razerblade stealth but I think it might be yours because mine only it's 37 degrees while I was playing csgo (I was playing on the lowest setting though)
Justin Laxamana (10 months ago)
04:59 the best! LOL
Ryan Francis (10 months ago)

Awesome!! Your conclusions at the end I really have not seen in this quality on YouTube
Matthew Moniz (10 months ago)
Thanks Sina = )
Ravi Kumar (10 months ago)
how would you rate the base model for the razer blade stealth (128gb 12.5 " core i5 7th gen hd non touch) mainly for student work high performance and some light gaming like rocket league, if this isnt a good option what else can you recomend around this pricepoint, grate vid btw!
praveen kulkarni (11 months ago)
I wish you should have put asus ux330ua in the list .. as it has got equal ports as other laptops and should have compared its performance along with others , I saw your review about asus ux330ua and you have praised it as value for money
Jason McKenna (11 months ago)
Pretty sure you can get the X1 carbon with a 4K display with over 100% adobe color. If you want touch on it... you just buy the similarly sized X1 Yoga. You can also plug an external gpu into any of these... but having 2 thunderbolt ports is a pro in that instance. The X1 also has a 14 in screen.
killerofbleach2 (11 months ago)
what about Acer swift 5 and 7
velocipede (11 months ago)
awesome comparison man!
Jas M (11 months ago)
if Lenovo X1 carbon and the 2017 MacBook Pro 256gbssd non touch bar are the same price in Australia which should I go for?
Dimitris Loufakis (11 months ago)
Good job! I did not expect this video to be this good! Keep up the great work

for europeans the dell xps and razer blade aren't an option. this is because the i5 1080p dell xps is around 1700 us dollars and the razer blade stealth is 2300 us dollars.
Patrick darryl (11 months ago)
where is macbook
TCC (11 months ago)
UX330UA would have been a better pick than Zenbook 3. It's arguably a better laptop. It legit got me 10 hours of battery life, but the stupid Quality Control at ASUS is shit. Their was hair stuck behind the LCD/screen!
Cristian (6 months ago)
kael'thas sunstrider The mac is 300-500$ more though. The ux330 costs 699
kael'thas sunstrider (9 months ago)
ouch. oh well I think Mac is better

Matthew Moniz (11 months ago)
Maybe your headphones are bad? I've never had a complaint
NimbleRoshi (11 months ago)
does xps 13 have ghosting issues?
Matthew Moniz (11 months ago)
no

Appreciate your time spent on this comprehensive review of all devices. Short, informative and covered evertyhing I actually would be interested to look for on new laptop! Well done!!!
Matthew Moniz (11 months ago)
Thanks man! I appreciate it and I'm glad I could help!
Damon Ingles (11 months ago)
You didn't even include the newer Spectre x360 , which is amazing! And I just bought mine 👍🏻
Damon Ingles (11 months ago)
Matthew Moniz cuz it's so awesome ;)
Matthew Moniz (11 months ago)
Ya, it's the only one I could get my hands on
Karlsen (11 months ago)
Is the Dell Xps 13 coil whine still a thing? Or has it been fixed.
Karlsen (11 months ago)
I was really considering to buy it, but then I saw some youtube videos and I read on reddit, and many people had to send back theirs because of coil whine.
Matthew Moniz (11 months ago)
I've never had an issue with it
Ruifan Li (11 months ago)
what about Lenovo Yoga 910? Does it worth the price to buy it?
Philosoph (11 months ago)
Is that a spectre x360 without pen support? I believe HP added 4k option and pen support for both fhd and 4k models with a faster ssd which has similar speeds to razer, Samsung 960 ssd if I'm not mistaken. I researched it for a while, since I plan to buy one this summer :)
HulKer4DiFe (6 months ago)
Hows your laptop doing now 5 months later. curious to know if u have any problems that would sway me away from this laptop. I need one for college! :)
Huzaifa Khan Suri (11 months ago)
Okay thanks!
Philosoph (11 months ago)
I have no idea. It has a single USB-A port which should be enough for me for daily use. LinusTechTips had a great video about that as far as I remember. He reviewed some of the best hubs for thunderbolt 3, try to check that out.
Huzaifa Khan Suri (11 months ago)
That's great, hp made an already great value laptop compared to comeptitors even better, surely buying it now. By the way I'm not into dongles right now but i think I'll be needing them, could you recommend any dongles which are compact and aren't that pricey?
Philosoph (11 months ago)
Huzaifa Khan Suri It didn't have pen support when it was first launched. Later on HP refreshed it with a proper pen and digitizer. Pen should come in the box by the way, in some markets old one is still sold so watch out for that. I plan on buying it directly from HP with 7560u processor which just came out.
Anil Bajracharya (1 year ago)
i went to purchase Dell XPS 13 with my wife, then when she compared Dell side by side with New Macboo Pro, she wanted the Macbook, so i ordered Macbook Pro 15 online, but was never happy with the price i paid, and after placing my order, i came across New Razer Blade Stealth and immediately liked it, so the next day, i cancelled my Macbook order and bought Razer. So, my experience, pretty good, except for the battery life, i get 6-6.5 hr. But i always wonder how Macbook and Dell XPS experience would have been, had i bought that .
Răzvan Botea (1 year ago)
Hope you get to see this Matt: the new & improved Zenbook 3 (UX490UA) is a much better alternative to the UX390UA, albeit a bit more expensive, but it's improved on almost every aspect. So I'd actually recommend the UX490UA over the 390 one totally.
Răzvan Botea (11 months ago)
I just bought it this week ! Looks just like the UX390UA just a little big bigger and with more ports
Răzvan Botea (1 year ago)
+Matthew Moniz It has just been released this May, but having trouble finding a store in the US that sells it. I'm buying mine this June since it's already for sale here in Eastern Europe. You can also try buying it from amazon.co.uk.
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
+Răzvan Botea I see this : ) I'll see if I can get my hands on it !
Dr Peter jones (1 year ago)
Beware stay clear if you try to boot your normal operating system of unix of linux it may distroy this laptop due to a flakly firmware put in by samsung. samsung needs to lift its game and produce more unix and linux ready machines. Running windows monoploy software is going to distro the company sooner or later.it seems that the still born UEFI is quickly been superseeded by linux boot loaders for 2018.EUFI was a windows idea to stop its competition from running software on computers to creat a monopoly.Manufactures never got it stable enought to work properly and with slow windows 10 take up and the resulting deterioration in sales many manufacturers will be looking at alternatives from linux boot software or continuing MBR

Sir, can you do review on GT73VR Titan?
Eli Szeinwald (1 year ago)
Great review! But against what you said in 4:55 , I am pretty sure that the Lenovo X1 Carbon is available with a touch display
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
+Eli Szeinwald thanks Eli! It's not available in touch. Maybe you're thinking of the yoga?
Ayush Pandey (1 year ago)
I like that you didn't include MacBook.
Axl Sernaqué (1 year ago)
I'm between Lenovo X1C or Alienware 17 R4 I'm studying international business but I love games such as LoL SC2 Dota2 and among Should I think for my future and choose X1C ? My budget is 2.5K $ Thank you guys !! Ps : I'll start college in July, moving from Peru to Australia for 2 years
MDLEUA (1 year ago)
Great video very usefull and fun to watch, I would love to get a review with equal specs rather than price range, and the screen size I think the Dell is 13" while the rest are smaller. Subcribed and thumbs up!
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
+MDLEUA thanks man! Hp spectre is 13 and Lenovo is 14. Razer and asus are 12.5
Faithful Foxes (1 year ago)
You are insane. Have you ever used the Spectre X360 other than to make this review? It has amazing build quality, and the keyboard feels great to use. I returned the Razer to get the Spectre X360, and even returned the Microsoft Surface Book with performance base for that computer. HP has clearly won the battle there. Definitely try using it with a Razer Core and it's as good as any desktop. I implore you to spend more time with it.
Faithful Foxes (1 year ago)
I am in no way trolling nor have I ever. But seriously you were definitely hating on this laptop, and the build quality and hinge is amazing on the three different ones I've used. Also the pen support sets it apart. This would be perfect for almost anyone. I have tested and tried almost every laptop in this video and I just don't think you are giving it the respect it deserved.
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
+Foxes and Friends insane? When did I say in this entire review the x360 is a bad product ? It's a great product and it did better than others in certain categories. Please don't troll dude each of these laptops have their strengths. To say one is the best for everyone is just ridiculous. I'd have zero issues recommending the spectre depending on the persons needs
Ajay Daniel (1 year ago)
I see you worked a lot in this video. Excellent work.
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
I certainly did thanks for noticing Ajay!!
Maxime Tremblay (1 year ago)

Maxime Tremblay (1 year ago)

Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
Ya i know i fixed it =) Surprised I didn't notice while filming
Digital ETech (1 year ago)
Awesome Video very informative and useful. Well my choice would be the Razor Blade Stealth because it looks really good compared to all the othes and I/O is also really good.
Digital ETech (1 year ago)

Hindustani Memes (1 year ago)
its not cha-sis, its cha-see
Tiam Bennett (1 year ago)
Matthew Moniz I'm Canadian too and technically we use British English. I'd say it's fair to pronounce it the other way though. Canadian is basically a language of its own at this point.
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
I'm Canadian but it's actually pronounced both ways depending where you live in the world
Hindustani Memes (1 year ago)
Pu Lunk yeah it is but being an indian and studying the British English, it hurts
J Pulunk (1 year ago)
mehul srivastava it's whatever he want to pronounce it.
Felipe W (1 year ago)
he is too big of a fan of the Dell XPS 13 he shouldn't compare anything when he's planning to compare it to the Dell XPS 13 bloody fanboy
Lee Vo (1 year ago)
I moved from my macbook to DELL cuz i wanted to see what Windows market offers. Got the XPS15 w/ 4k display and am not disappointing at all, thing is a work of art from the lack of bezels, carbon interior to the aluminium build :D I do still enjoy using the mac air though its so light and battery is GREAT
Akanle Oluwatobiloba (1 year ago)

What would you categorize the Surface Book as?
Jake (1 year ago)
Razer Blade is my choice if I were to switch from Mac. The insanely stupid con to Razer is that they still don't sell laptops in Sweden..
J Pulunk (1 year ago)
Jake you can always change the language in Windows. dual/triple language support
Jake (1 year ago)
+PowerhousePR I want a Swedish keyboard though. We use stupid letters like Å,Ä,Ö all the time.
PowerhousePR (1 year ago)
Jake ebay
I guess my only constructive criticism on an otherwise great video, is to throw in the comparison either the macbook retina 12 or the macbook pro 13, as comparables/control group. it would have helped clarify whether macs are overpriced or not, and show case their strengthens and weaknesses (after all you can run windows in bootcamp; or in general the OS selection you could have set aside).
Thanks for reply. I would think the 15 watt MacBook Pro would be a better fit. Did you mean in this video to cover 15 watts only or also 5 watts CPU ?
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
It's meant to just be windows laptops. I have it in the description. But yes if i was comparing all ultrabooks the macbook would be in there as well.
glad to see another trackpoint convert (typing this from my thinkpad P40)... I think gestures are over-rated, and nothing really beats the convenience of not having to move your hands from the keyboard to move the cursors. longevitiy I think should go to the thinkpad, I have had thinkpads lasting 4 years easily without major hiccups. I think the "content creator" term gets overused, and definitely too much focused on video editing; writing reports/text in general is also content creation and for those, there is no equal than a thinkpad keyboard.
KasumiKills (1 year ago)
Great video Matt!
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
Thanks chris!!
Nick Basra (1 year ago)
congrats on the 100k! As much as I just love the design of the zenbook, if I were on the hunt for a new laptop I'd get the HP. Solid video. Loved seeing all these powerhouses go toe to toe in this comparison

Thanks Nick!! = )

Stefon Barker (1 year ago)
Hey Matthew. do you plan on reviewing the Samsung Notebook 9 2017? I'd love to hear some feedback on it. thanks
Stefon Barker (1 year ago)
thanks Matthew. I find it very strange that they market their phones so much but public relations are so hired for their laptops. will be looking forward to the review.
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
+Stefon Barker I'd love too! Samsung is pretty bad at review units for laptops but if I get one i will for sure
AK97 (1 year ago)

Matthew Moniz lol, i am thinking of buying a second hand dell xps 13 qhd+ with an i7 6560u (intel iris pro 540) for ish gaming....
Nizar El-Zarif (1 year ago)
Great video, however, there is a version of the dell XPS 13 that comes with Iris Plus Graphics 640. It should give better gaming performance that the rest
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
Thanks Nizar! It slightly helps for sure but still not close to a dedicated gpu
Ravi Srinivas (1 year ago)
Hey, what about the Lenovo Yoga 910? How can you miss that one out?
Matthew Moniz (1 year ago)
The 910 is great! But I wanted to include a business laptop and I feel the X1 Carbon is the right choice
Debra Dukes (1 year ago)
Matthew Awesome Review and definitely appreciate it.My only concern with all is if you notice you have to give up one thing or another. They are all great but I'm waiting until one gets all correct out of the gate. I been looking for a while and as you mentioned . I have a Lenovo which is awesome but when ordering I could have done a little better on my side with bumping up my spec's which I still can.Just my days of playing when your the one fixing gets old. I guess I just answered my question I should just do it and get it done. But I have to say you did Awesome job of showing these and let me know what I should do. I was going to pass it down and get another but I don't like doing that when they have no idea what I really am handing over. I really enjoyed because you just showed me what the right thing to do is get it done Deb.👍👊Can't tell you how much you helped in making my decision.By the way Love your project looks beautiful.Hope it come out just the way you like it.Although I think it looks Sweet great job Deb.Enjoyed.
