Taiwan Tao Zhu Yin Yuan: Building that reduces excess carbon dioxide by feeding on it.
The city where it is rising is Taipei, in the XinYin district, and the tower is called Tao Zhu Yin Yuan. The building, in fact, will end up being rather low, with about 92 meters of height, especially considering that shares city with one of the highest of the world, the tower Taipei 101 of about 508 meters of height. But what makes the building special is its design and structure, given that in addition to presenting a helical design between the walls and floors of its 40 apartments will house some 23,000 trees and shrubs. These plants will be the ones that do the cleaning function that is planned, that is, the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. In Business Insider talk with Callebut and detail that the double-helix design is inspired by a DNA strand is a double helix and it is estimated that the plants will absorb 130 tons of carbon dioxide a year, which according to the architect is equivalent to 27 Cars.
As for the design and arrangement of elements, the building will have glazed floors and there will also be plants inside the tower, as well as swimming pool and gymnasium and multi-level underground parking. In addition, as explained in CTBUH will integrate a rainwater recycling system, energy-efficient lifts, solar panels and a system that according to the climate can save energy. This initiative is novel, but not the only one in terms of buildings that eat pollution. A few months ago we talked about a building that did not resort to plants to eat the smog, but to the materials themselves. Thus, the facade of 9,000 meters of the Palazzo Italia is made of a mixture of cement and titanium dioxide that on contact with the light captures the different nitrogen oxides in the air resulting in a type of salt that is isolated on the surface and when it rains it dissolves. Regarding the tower Tao Zhu Yin Yuan, the date of completion of the moment remains unchanged and the plan is to see this tower completed in September of this year. We do not know if it will be possible to reduce the concentration of carbon dioxide up to that point, but the initiative is at least an extra dose of oxygen and without requiring the latest technologies or depending on their efficiency.

你好 Taiwanese here, I think we need more of these in our country. Not just in Taipei.
Taiwan isn't nearly as polluted or populated as China, however there're still too much people in the city, and since riding motorcycle is our primarily way of transportation, the air pollution is worse than it should have been.
We need more greens in our city.
Beast of the Far East hey, hope you're doing good. Can you tell me that is this a completed project? Because as far as I know inauguration is not done yet. Please do tell me if you've any info related to this. Thanks.
