Don't kid yourself, the neo-libs in the Democratic party are just as war mongering as the neo-cons. They help shore of the military-industrial complex. You know, that thing Eisenhower warned us of.

Always nice to see something new from Emma. She's the shining star of TYT, and the only reason I watch these days. All the other good presenters seem to have scampered away. Still don't get the scarf thing though, it's freaking June!

explain why Trump deserves credit for this.. I am confused by that statement...This whole think to me sounds like Trump and Kim did a bunch of back and forth to escalated tension.. Then they sat down and talked and de-escalated them... What is different today than a month before Trump too office??? can someone explain this to me

I don't know if I entirely agree with her point maybe it's my age maybe it's because I seen this movie so many times before. I can't say that what Trump has done here was the right choice meeting with Kim before having some sort of agreement at hand it could make him look more foolish than he already does. He's seems almost desperate for a deal now the question is at what cost? Kim has something his ancesters have always wanted a face to face as equals on the world stage with the President and an end to the war games. Trump has only hope that what he's given up will be enough to entice NK to continue talking. I think it's a little backwards negotiate first, come to some form of agreement then give him his photo op at a real deal signing, then suspend the war games for the following year. This gives Kim a chance to show that he is serious before you commit to actually canceling the war games.

What's the trouble with "meeting as equals"? We meet with the Saudis as " equals"!?

Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard Break with Pelosi on Trump-Kim Summit: ‘Important First Step’ Towards Peace 12 Jun 2018 Washington, D.C. In a revolt against the Democratic Party establishment, anti-war leftists Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) are praising President Trump’s summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. After Trump’s historic summit — where he successfully lobbied Kim Jong-un to sign documents agreeing to “complete denuclearization” — House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi released an unhinged statement in which she attacked the peaceful meeting as handing “Kim Jong-un concessions” and claimed Trump helped to “preserving the regime’s status quo.” Breaking with Pelosi, anti-war leftists Sanders and Gabbard praised Trump’s summit with Kim, calling it an “important first step” towards peace and a “positive step in de-escalating tensions.” Sanders said: Bernie Sanders ✔ @SenSanders While very light on substance, Trump and Kim Jong Un's meeting is a positive step in de-escalating tensions and addressing the threat of North Korea’s nuclear weapons. Congress has a key role to play in making sure this is a meaningful process, not just a series of photo ops. 10:08 AM - Jun 12, 2018 10.7K 3,187 people are talking about this Twitter Ads info and privacy Gabbard said: Tulsi Gabbard ✔ @TulsiGabbard Diplomacy & peace are better than war. #TrumpKimSummit was historic & an important first step, with Kim committing to ‘complete denuclearization.’ But we can’t blindly take him at his word. Final deal must ensure complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization. Nothing less. 10:42 AM - Jun 12, 2018 677 302 people are talking about this Twitter Ads info and privacy Tulsi Gabbard ✔ @TulsiGabbard Diplomacy can be the difference between war and peace. "Weasel" Chuckie Schumer, "Shaky" Nancy Pelosi and all the fake news media are making their last gasp for credibility. They are unimportant and have become the laughing stock of American politics. They have guaranteed Trump victories in 2018 and 2020. If they are smart, they will reorganize their party before 2020 and dismiss everything "Clinton" and the dinosaurs Schumer and Pelosi. Otherwise, they become obsolete.

they really needed your voice on the TYT panel today discussing North Korea, because they sounded like the neoliberal talking heads on MSNBC. They would have just shamed or gaslight you or any viewer who agreed with you though..... The most brutal regime of all is America

Trump giving legitimacy to DPRK and Kim Jong-Un ? what about opposite ? time for US to understand , you long ago lost any credibility.

What is wrong with you Emma? We were never in danger of nuclear war with North Korea. This is a complete dog and pony show from start to finish. You're viciously attacking allies on the left in order to support to a total con job. Let me know when you finally wake up and realize that.
Person Oisels (7 days ago)
Chuck Schumer is an ally to you? Fuck off you dumb cockwad, peace talks are good, ending practicing to invade another nation, right on it's border, is good. Building goodwill between north korea and the US is good. Any internal problems NK has (which are not what corporate media pretends) are none of your fucking business. What is wrong with YOU.

Dark Days (8 days ago)
I give Graham about a week before he's screaming North Korea Delenda Est again. Normally I cannot stand the bumbling of Orange Joffrey but this is a win for him. Avoiding a nuclear wars is in itself a good, and it should be an apolitical one at that. We have one planet, just the one, and detonating nuclear weapons on it is one of the most ridiculous and near suicidal things our species has ever done in its history, and that's really saying something.

You are absolutely right. Please tell Ana, who bad mouthed Trump for upsetting G-7 NATO Warmongers. Ana called them "Our allies." Not the allies of any Progressive. The people of these Warring Bank-run countries, are our Allies.
Keine Werbung-Bitte (8 days ago)
Oh boy where to start? ^^ First the meeting was only a photo-op for both dictators! Second you are on the side of Graham with his argument ... wow ... so little is needed to change your point of view!! It´s like any democrat .. who thinks he has to be on the higher ground or to leave his office because somebody could get hurt his feeling about nothing! Third Graham is in my mind straight forward .. you give uo this .. we give up this .. is this not happening .. NO DEAL !! Is your position weak like the Trump position .. he is taking everything what anybody has to offer him! ANYTHING !! The result of the meeting is easy to make .. Kim is now on the worldstage and Trump thinks with 1 meeting he will get the Nobel Peace Prize ^^ Both are wrong .. the iran deal was not perfect but 103 pages long ... the paper between Trump and Kim is 2 pages ^^ Why should Kim give up or denuke, and why should Trump ... getting the US troops out of South Korea .. with the US nuclear arsenal ! South Korea would not want this ..Japan would say no ...even China would say ...ehem NO !! The only way is to put the states together .. without the US and Trump .. because Trump is destroying everything he in contact with. You will see it in the next days .. he will brag about something .. thats only in his mind .. Kim is reacting to it and Trump doubles down on it via twitter! Result of it .. the paper is none existant anymore ... no golfplace in North Korea, No Trump Tower in North Korea ...both paid by China, Mexico and the rogue nation Canada ..NO DEAL with TRUMP.! He is already going back on that ... Bolton has spoken to him ... little rocketman .. give me my signature golfplace and hotel or else ....! Like any other of the places the owners are banks ... Trump has tanked his companies and is in so much debt ... he need this kind of deals more .. he would sale the whole USA for it ^^

Schumer is owned by Wall Street. He represents only the rich.
BLAIR M Schirmer (8 days ago)
It's strange that Emma seems to distinguish Chuck Schumer from "neocons." --It's sad, too, that she appears to believe this is some kind of actual "agreement." Here Trump and Kim are only de-escalating tensions they themselves created. Her editorial stance here engages only a trivial element of the overall picture.
StealieSteve (8 days ago)
We don't need troops at the NK border and we don't need 1000s of military bases world wide either! We are not the world 👮. Looking for a President with the guts to stand up against our military industrial complex.

TYT you know better, NK has always held up their side of the bargain in the past, when the West back out of their side of bargain, that's when NK started building up nuke arms.

Democrats and Republicans are 2 sides of the same useless coin Trump is a different currency, that is why these globalist creeps are both freaking out about everything Trump accomplished.
Ricardo Barahona (8 days ago)
GITMO Holiday most of Trump's policies are out to help wall street. He's still gave weapons to the Saudis and acted like an idiot sending more drones and striking Damascus. What he did in Singapore was a great thing but it doesn't make him innocent. Reminds me of Nixon fighting for peace in Vietnam when he also bombed Cambodia. Overall Trump policies have been hawkish in the middle east but media outlets won't report it because they suck. At least now Trump is making more sense with North Korea, he should also fire Bolton even though he was the one he hired.
