1.iPhone X (best at all categories , camera it’s like even with the Pixel 2)
2.iPhone 8 Plus ( camera performance even with the Note 8)/ Google Pixel 2 XL ( definitly best camera on a smartphone with the iPhone X)
3. Note 8 ( Note has better screen than iPhone 8 and Pixel 2 ,but the iPhone has better Performance overall and the Pixel 2 camera beats both of them)
4.One Plus 5T ( very good for the price)
5.Samsung Galaxy S8
I'm struggling to decide which to buy between the Note 8, Mate 10 Pro, OnePlus 5T and the V30 and even the new Essential Ph-1... I have a Note 5 now, and I really like my S pen, but I really don't want THAT big of a screen on the Note 8! I wish someone would do a comparison of some of the older phones with the new ones (like my Note 5 to the Note 8/Mate 10 Pro... ect.) bc, what makes a difference between the new phones, might not as big of a difference when you're coming from an older phone that doesn't have those things, so I'm not going to miss it... if that makes sense!
I think people fail to realize that Sony has created so many new features... They were the among the first and Consistent to make their flagship phone waterproof since 2013, they consistently placed dual front facing speakers, they still allow for micro USB expansion, first to make glass and metal construction with the z1, first phone to have 4k display, FIRST PHONE TO HAVE 960FPS SUPER SLOW MOTION CAMERA, 3D PICTURES.... So many innovation by Sony.... Much better then fucking one plus 5t... It's just a good phone with a low price.... That's all.... Nothing impressive... No innovation..... Nothing
Thank You Matthew! Here is my top 5 picks. 5) Iphone X 4) LG V30 3) Samsung Galaxy Note 8 2) Iphone 8 1)Pixel 2 gets the Gold medal for the Smartest Smartphone of 2017. Personally the design and feel of the phone plus the clean elegant chic look and the Google Assistant built in is by far the biggest help and also fun exploring and getting personal with the Assistant. Now instead of ok google they address me by name! just played with this for several days! Anyone else have any cool new discoveries about there built in Google Assistant? Love to hear them. Happy Holidays
I was considering the razer phone as my next phone because I like a good battery, the screen and speakers are incredible. And I do game quite a bit on my phone (even though the games aren't those fancy race games with top-notch graphics) I mostly play Clash Royale and PVZ Heroes. I watch a lot of youtube too, so the 120 Hz is nice. I currently use a Galaxy S6, so Samsungs flagships had a big chance too.
But then I decided to watch a bunch of reviews of top phones that released recently and also decided to make a list of features listed from most important to least important. (I also noticed from these videos that even though the Razer battery is massive, battery life still isn't all that great because of the screen) On top of the list for me are the battery life and speed of the phone. And on the bottom is the speakers/headphone jack (I use a Bluetooth headset 95% of the time). The screen quality has to be good, but not note 8 good. And the camera good, but not Pixel 2 good. And the price has to be around the price of an iPhone x screen repair. So there is one phone that fits almost perfectly in the picture here.
So I went with it, the OnePlus 5T, a days power in half an hour and a days power on a full charge. Seems excellent, not to mention the processor, RAM and more than decent camera/screen. Only thing I wouldn't have minded is if they removed the headphone jack and gave it stereo speakers. Because who needs a headphone jack when you have Bluetooth 5.0. Also, Oxygen OS is godlike. If you didn't guess it yet, OP 5T is my pick for smartphone of the year.
Pixel and iphone x have no dual sim, and the don't have headphone jack...
iPhone has only face id for security....
Screen of pixel is good but not good enough as compared to its price...
Also, in iPhone x the ram management is very poor.
In terms of complete packages, from my opinion, note 8 is best and beast.
There is only one problem with it, not good fingerprint replacement, and low quality speakers, other wise....
The best phone of the yeat is NOTE 8

Pixel 2. Light, fairly priced, great 📷, great battery, great screen. I exchanged it 2 times to try the iPhone X but didn't like the extra steps over the regular iPhone even to unlock & bring up the home menu. Then the 8 plus was good for me but less things than the X like portrait selfie & screen. So I went back to the Pixel 2 for 600 bucks sale. Oh fast charger out of the box
hoping it would be mate 10 pro though :) plus can you plz do the speed tests on your channel? you are pretty much the only youtuber who responds to fans and i am really looking forward to see how does mate 10 compares to oneplus 5t when it comes to speed
mate i just want to know if you can help me with a budget phone. Looking at either xiaomi a, moto g5 plus or the honor 7x. I have no idea which one to go for. I really just use it to watch youtube and videos and take a few pics. Can you assist. Thanks mate and good luck in the new year
